Our plans were interrupted by Coronavirus

We had planned on taking 5 private tours with Xuan Tu Tours in February 2020. We were traveling by cruise ship from San Diego to Singapore with multiple stops in Vietnam. A 47 day trip of a lifetime. We read Xuan Tu Tours review and started the process of choosing tours. The communication between Xuan and us was great. I would ask a question and the next morning I would have an answer. In the end we booked 5 tours that we thought would give us a good representation of Vietnam. I sent Xuan Tu Tours a $200 deposit via PayPal. We departed San Diego on January 13 and were expected to arrive in Da Nang on February 10. We sailed right into the heart of the Coronavirus epidemic. The ports we were going to were changing daily, I kept Xuan Tu Tours informed of the changes as best I could. In the end all of the ports after a stop in Guam refused to allow us to dock. We were stuck sailing in the South China Sea for 12 days when Singapore finally allowed us to dock. Through all this disruption Xuan Tu Tours acted very professionally. Finally I had to cancel all of the tours. We decided to cancel the last leg of our cruise and fly home from Singapore. Within a couple days after getting home Xuan Tu Tours had refunded my deposit and today I received an email from Tu asking if we were well. What a class act. She must have spent hours setting up the tours, changing them and then to have them all cancelled. I highly recommend this company and if or when we go back would gladly use them. — Traveller: jerryh63 from Tripadvisor

Fantastic tour with Hieu! Xuân Tú is exceptional!!

We had an exceptional day in Da Nang and Hoi An in January with Hieu of Xuân Tú Tours. First of all, communication with Xuân Tú was prompt, courteous and very informative. She answered all questions quickly and fully with excellent English. Hieu also spoke excellent English and was the best tour guide we had on this trip. In addition to excellent commentary on culture and history, he took us to a great restaurant and his favorite coffee shop, which was fun! I should add that Hieu greeted us with a bag each of traditional coconut crackers, which were delicious! We highly recommend him! The driver was also professional and very good. When our ship was unable to port in the Philippines in Feb, we turned around and were supposed to be able to return to Da Nang. So the night before, I contacted Xuân Tú, who set up a tour for us to visit Hue with My, another guide. We ended up sitting outside the harbor for the entire day and eventually had to give up on the tour. Unfortunately, My waited for us for quite awhile, as we were waiting for the clearance that never happened. I am so grateful to Xuân Tú and her excellent guides and very sorry for the wait and that we were unable to meet My. — Traveller: hornetvbmom from Tripadvisor

Vung Tau shore excursion

I spent 3 weeks in southeast Asia and this was possibly the best Day. We were met on time at the ship. We saw many things that other tours would not have seen like, the oyster farms or the fisherman’s beach where they bring their small round boats ashore and empty their nets. We saw all of the other tourist highlights as well. Lunch was a treat. We ate at a local restaurant and had Vietnamese pancakes. Not at all what you would expect but delicious!! We had time to stop at a local market and make it back to the ship without any worries. A perfect day! — Traveller: Jcoloso from Tripadvisor

Best day out in Vietnam

Wow! What a great day. And great tour guide with Lam. We went for the Golden Bridge and Hoi An tour. Only wanted to see the bridge quickly and then on to Hoi An. But when we got there it was more than we expected. Best cable car I’ve been on. Amazing views. And could easily spend the day and more up in Ba Na Hills. Lots to do and see. Also for kids. Has great food there and seen an old wine cellar built by the French. And obviously a nice glass of wine also. So surprised here and Lam made everything easy and lots of good tips, pointers and history about the place. Then on to beautiful Hoi An. Everything at our own pace. Walked around the markets. Ate a beautiful baguette in a place made famous by Anthony Bourdain. Wanted to stay longer which wasn’t a problem and wasn’t charged extra. Seen the many beautiful lanterns and a cruise in a boat with floating candles. Romantic and beautiful setting. So rich and old and really had our best day in Vietnam. Xuan was so helpful when first got in touch and we were just so happy with a great guide in Lam also — Traveller: joembyron from Tripadvisor

Wonderful, Fantastic Private Tour of DaNang and Hoi An!!!

When I first read the wonderful reviews I knew Xuan -Tu was the tour guide we needed. She was wonderful to work with and tailored a day just for the 5 of us. We were there for a day on a cruise and we wanted to see both cities. We wanted to do Hoi An second so we could see the lanterns at sunset. We were met by Khoa and a driver at the pier and he was wonderful. We started in Da Nang and saw many sights all morning (even an off the beat coffee shop) and then headed to Hoi An for lunch and touring the city. The day was perfect. We (husband and I) had our 2- 20 something daughters and a family friend and the 5 of us thought this was the best day and best tour guide of our almost 3 week adventure. We met Xuan in Hoi An as she was with another group and she made a point to meet all of us an come us and take some pictures. I would definitely recommend Xuan Tu Tous and Khoa!! — Traveller: AvalonLori from Tripadvisor
