We had an exceptional day in Da Nang and Hoi An in January with Hieu of Xuân Tú Tours. First of all, communication with Xuân Tú was prompt, courteous and very informative. She answered all questions quickly and fully with excellent English. Hieu also spoke excellent English and was the best tour guide we had on this trip. In addition to excellent commentary on culture and history, he took us to a great restaurant and his favorite coffee shop, which was fun! I should add that Hieu greeted us with a bag each of traditional coconut crackers, which were delicious! We highly recommend him! The driver was also professional and very good.
When our ship was unable to port in the Philippines in Feb, we turned around and were supposed to be able to return to Da Nang. So the night before, I contacted Xuân Tú, who set up a tour for us to visit Hue with My, another guide. We ended up sitting outside the harbor for the entire day and eventually had to give up on the tour. Unfortunately, My waited for us for quite awhile, as we were waiting for the clearance that never happened. I am so grateful to Xuân Tú and her excellent guides and very sorry for the wait and that we were unable to meet My.
