Knowledgeable, funny, and smart guide

Xuan Tu ( pronounced Soong tu) is fabulous! My husband and I took 2 full day tours around the countryside of Hoi An, Da Nang and My Son. We just wanted to say THANK YOU SO MUCH for exceptional days. It was better than we imagined. Your professionalism, knowledge and wonderful nature with children and the elders was amazing. We thought you were the best guide that we have ever had and we totally agree with other comments about you It was wonderful seeing the quieter side of Vietnam and learning more about Vietnam. Not having been here before we needed someone to show us the ropes and you gave us the confidence to try things that we may otherwise not have attempted. XuanTu, we hope the future holds grand things for you as you so deserve and we very much look forward to seeing you again in Vietnam next year! — Traveller: Christine P from Tripadvisor

Number 1 Trip Advisor rating for a very good reason

We have just spent an amazing 9 hours with Xuan Tu and she exceeded all our expectations. What sets her apart from others is that she provides an experience rather than a tour, and when we said goodbye it was like saying goodbye to a long lost friend. Firstly a bit about Xuan Tu. She is passionate, energetic, fluent in English, has a great sense of humour and cares deeply about people which included us as well as all the local people we enjoyed meeting. We met her at our hotel and walked through Hoi An to a ferry that took us to the island. Before we got on the ferry she introduced us to Sugar Cane Juice which was a hit. We biked on the island where Xuan Tu introduced us to some wonderful people. We talked to craftsmen building boats, wood carvers, a lovely 85 year old caretaker of a temple and a lady weaving sleeping mats where we were able to try our hand at weaving. The highlight on the island was spending an hour with a lovely family who made rice paper including the 95 year old matriarch. We were able to see how the rice paper was made, had a go at it ourselves, and spent an amazing time talking about their family, their history and similarities in our thinking. When we came back to Hoi An we had lunch at Mr So’n. This is one place that is not to be missed and we will be returning there before we leave. The owners are lovely, prices are cheaper by about 50% than some restaurants in Hoi An and the food was incredible. We finished with a boat trip on the river after sunset which was the icing on the cake. Another aspect we really liked is that Xuan Tu supports hard working local people through her tours. There are no commissions or kick backs that we experienced with some tours we have been on. What you get is an honest and passionate guide who provides a very personal experience and through this helps her local community. Along the way she gave us many helpful tips on food, shopping and price guides. I can not speak highly enough of Xuan Tu. My tips are a) book her early as she is in demand and if you leave it too late you run the risk that she has already been booked and b) book her on your first day in Da Nang / Hoi An so she can give you information that will enhance your experience. Thank you so much for an incredible day Xuan Tu. You have given us a fantastic start to our holiday and an experience we will never forget. — Traveller: Rene_and_Rachel from Tripadvisor

Proffesional, informative & great fun

We have just spent a fantastic morning with Xuan Tu (Soong Tu) is how you pronounce it! Visiting the My Son temples close to Da Nang. From the moment you meet Xuan Tu she makes you feel relaxed but more than that, so welcome in her wonderful country. She is informative, with excellent English and made our trip one to remember, in fact we booked her straight away after for another days tour. We would recommend her to anyone looking for the top guide for Da Nang and Hoi An. — Traveller: Chriswarrick from Tripadvisor

Da Nang Food Tour

After spending several days in Da Nang and wanting to try more local cuisine, I researched some food tours. After looking at a few I only wanted to go with Xuan Tu. We were with friends and were not disappointed. Loved the friendliness of the Cyclo drivers and Xuan, so knowledgeable and passionate about their Country. We would never of eaten in all the hidden treasures we were taken. Highly Recommend and wish Xuan Tu all the best for her future. So Inspirational. — Traveller: Leanne772013 from Tripadvisor

Xuan Tu The best guide We have ever had

We are a couple in 65 and we have never written any reviews on TripAdvisor before! But Xuan Tu deserves to gain first excellent review from us. We did three day tours all around Da Nang and the experiences were absolutely amazing. We toured around Da Nang, Hoi An, My Son and hue. All facsinating places with huge load of knowledge. She took us to beautiful places for vietnamese food that we couldnt find by ourselves. She is just 22 years old but she is so knowledgeable and passionate in her job. Like the others said, she is honest and confident and surely an old head on young shoulders. Xuan Tu, you become my new best friend and We wish you all the best in your life. We are looking forward to seeing you a successful young woman in your carreer and thank you for showing us how beautiful your country is. Cheers, Bradshaw from Uk — Traveller: Jude B from Tripadvisor
