Great tour with excellent guide “Tommy”
Just returned from a private tour, our guide Phan Hoang Hai aka ‘Tommy’ was the most pleasant and courteous guide. He met us as planned off the ship. He was very informative and knowledgable, he took numerous fantastic photographs of us all. Our tour was bespoke to our request and nothing was too much trouble for him, he was also flexible. lunch at a local restaurant was also organised.I would have no hesitation in recommending ‘Tommy’ as a guide. — Traveller: SYCAMORES from Tripadvisor
Excellent day visiting Hoi An & Danang
Lam picked us up at Chan May port (short walk to the gate) and had a full day of sightseeing perfectly planned. We enjoyed it all and Lam was very professional, warm & friendly. He spoke English very good and was easy for us to understand. He made sure we got the best prices when we shopped and was very informative & knowledgeable about all the important places we visited. We asked for lunch at a local spot and he knew exactly where to go. Food was delicious. On the way back to our ship, he took us to a banh mi stand and treated us to the best baguette ever. A great day with a wonderful guide. — Traveller: 130jerryc from Tripadvisor
Thank you Xuan Tu for a memorable day !
I do not normally do reviews but I had to do one for this trip. When the four of us were picked up on time by Xuan Tu from our cruise ship port we could not anticipate what a special day this was going to be. Xuan Tu who speaks perfect English is most delightful, enthusiastic and also her knowledge of her country and city was amazing. Her passion for Vietnam and Da Nang was remarkable ! She was a delight to be with for the day and she really gave us the full flavour of what it was like to live in Da Nang and Hoi An. We went to places where I am sure most tourist trips do not go. (In particular those off Cruise Ships the feedback of which was not so good and very expensive!) We stopped in Da Nang for coffee first before moving on to the delightful town of Hoi An, a place of so much character. When it rained Xuan Tu immediately bought us all ponchos so we would not get wet. Fortunately the rain did not last long ! Had a lovely lunch in a locals street cafe with Xuan Tu, recommended by her as she knew the husband and wife running it and only £20 for the five of us including drinks ! We went from Hoi An to see Marble Mountain and also the Lady Buddha Statue. Xuan Tu was absolutely full of interesting information everywhere we went and she passed it on with so much passion. It was a joy to see. Once again thank you Xuan Tu for a day we will never forget and becoming a new friend not just a tour guide. Anyone spending just one day in Da Nang do this as there cannot be anything better ! — Traveller: DAVID P from Tripadvisor
Go for it!
Four of us had a great private tour with Phan Hoang Hai also known as Tommy. Such a lovely friendly person, who has a great knowledge of the area and an eagerness to share this and give us an insight into the culture. Great stop for coffee, if a little on the strong side 🙂 We had a fabulous day and would encourage anyone visiting the area (we were on a cruise and arranged the tour in advance) to do a tour with a private tour guide. Thank you Tommy — Traveller: Alison J from Tripadvisor
Day tour to Hue from cruise
Xuan and Quan exceeded our expectations! We chose to hire our own private tour guide since there were so many complaints about the tours Norweigan offered. Xuan was easy to communicate with and responded quickly to emails. Our tour guide, Quan, was fun, happy, and very informative. We visited the Citadel of Hue, the Emperor’s tomb, had a delicious lunch, went shopping, drank coffee and did so much more in less than 8 hours. I would book this tour again if given the opportunity. Thank you for an amazing experience! Quan, You’re Awesome!!!! — Traveller: guismilee from Tripadvisor
