Perfect Service and Planning

My wife and I traveled on Celebrity Millennium on a back to back cruise. On our first tour, we visited Hue and on the second we visited Hoi An and De Nang. Anthony was our guide and the car/driver and helper (on first tour) were fantastic. We could not have hoped for more. It was special since they focused on local culture and people rather than just structures. — Traveller: Harvey F from Tripadvisor

Best Tour during our Cruise

We recently returned from a Holland America Cruise from Singapore to Hong Kong. The majority of our tours were private tours that we selected based on Trip Advisor reviews. We had excellent tours, but I must say that this was our best. Xuan Tu was great to work with. She provided the information we requested immediately and was very informative. She also followed up with us both before and after the tour. Anthony, our tour guide, met us at the ship in a new, air-conditioned van with internet on-board. He suggested that we visit Hoi An first, so that we could beat the crowds of people on the ship tours. It worked perfectly. We visited a silk shop, where we learned how silk is processed. Anthony, then escorted us through the town of Hoi An, telling us about the history of the town and giving us plenty of time to visit the shops that we wanted to see. After Hoi An, we drove back to Da Nang where we visited the Marble Mountain, drove along the beach to see the fishing boats and then to Lady Buddha. Anthony was an excellent guide. He is very knowledgeable, accommodating and his English is perfect. I would highly recommend this tour. — Traveller: jrw1717 from Tripadvisor

MAGNIFICENT, FABULOUS, A HIGHLIGHT OF OUR LIVES!

We were recently on a cruise ship and docked at Da Nang Vietnam. I found this tour company, rated #1 on Trip Advisor. The owner is Xuan Tu, a lovely young woman who has the BEST website I have ever seen for a tour company and guide. I emailed her and she responds very quickly and in very great detail. Her English is perfect! We decided on the tour to Cam Kim Island and Hoi An. Xuan Tu picked us up at the port gate in a very comfortable , new SUV with a great driver. From the moment she met my husband and I, we knew it would be a day we would never forget! Xuan Tu is passionate, knowledgeable and very informative. We learned about the culture of her city, the lives of the people and the history. We first passed through De Nang- which is a very interesting and beautiful modern city. We then proceeded to a small private boat on the river to Cam Kim Island. We walked around the island and visited a pre-school where the young children were taking a nap. So interesting to see the one room school house and the smiling teacher. We passed some houses that had very interesting crafts and gifts to buy. The prices were very reasonable. I bought some lovely wooden bowls there. The first house we visited made rice crackers and rice noodles. We were able to walk through their home, seeing how they lived and slept, where they stored their rice, cooked their meals and their backyard. We met the whole smiling, happy family even the elderly grandmother. They were all so friendly and we felt very welcomed. We then saw how the rice crackers and rice noodles are made. My husband and I each got to try making our own! That was so much fun. I have great videos I took of that. Afterwards we sat down on wooden stools in the front of the house where the wife joined us to taste the rice crackers with sauces provided. They were delicious! This was an authentic home business, not anything touristy! Xuan Tu thought of this idea for her tour company and she was right on target that people would find this so interesting to see how a family lives and works in their homes. Xuan Tu helps to support these families and you can tell they love and respect her! We then got back on the boat and went to another home that made floor mats. It was interesting to see how they weave the mats by hand. Xuan Tu explained how the colors are dyed to achieve the beautiful floor mats they make. The wife gave us two colorful placemats as a gift to take home. What a lovely couple we met making these mats in their home. After these two visits we had a great understanding of how these two families live. They all had big smiles on their faces and we really enjoyed that they opened up their homes to us so we could experience this part of the tour. We also visited the local dockyard to see how wooden boats are made. Xuan Tu explained in detail the kind of woods used and it was very interesting. We then got back on the boat to go to the beautiful ancient city of Hoi An. We saw lovely buildings and also went to an Ancient House that is very interesting. We strolled for a couple of hours in this lovely city. All along Xuan Tu is explaining the history and the sites. She does it in a fun, meaningful way! There is also great shopping here. We also stopped for Vietnamese coffee at a coffee house. Also I had a delicious cold beer! Xuan Tu is an amazing young woman! A real entrepreneur. In a few short years she has built a great tour company. She has many guides working for her that she said all are wonderful. You will be fascinated by her charm, loving personality and what she has achieved. We shared great laughs and she is so much fun to be with. We felt we have made a friend for life! When the tour ended she gave us a gift and a beautiful hand written card and lovely postcard. She also sent us great pictures she had taken of us after the tour. She was also very accommodating to our special requests we had. If you are looking for a FABULOUS tour in Hoi An than you must use Xuan Tu’s company! You will remember this day for a very long time! Thank you Xuan Tu for a MAGNIFICENT day! You are truly a very special young woman! My husband and I had a tour we will always remember – but the true highlight was meeting you! We love you! — Traveller: Sally6 from Tripadvisor

XuanTu’s tours excellent.

We contacted XuanTu and she was very helpful setting up our tour of Danang and Hoi An for the one day we had there on our Azamara Journey cruise. The price of a private tour for the two of us was about the same as what we would have paid with the cruise line but you are not having to be in a large bus in a group of 40 people. She was not available to guide us but she set us up with a nice young man named Quan. We were met at the ship and He was an excellent guide, very knowledgable of his country and enthusiastic in showing us everything. Hoi An is a beautiful old city that is fascinating and very photogenic. We also enjoyed Marble Mountain and Lady Buddha. Despite it being a rainy afternoon we had a great day seeing the sights with Quan and highly recommend XuanTu’s private tours. Quan …. thanks for the great tour, your friendship and the coffee in Danang. See you again some day. — Traveller: Orphan L from Tripadvisor

Amazing Hoi An tour guide and tour!!!

Can honestly say that Lam is the best tour guide we have ever experienced throughout South East Asia and Australia. He was extremely knowledgeable, attentive and inclusive to all in the group. Lam openly engaged and entertained our 11yr old daughter and 13 year old son, no easy task. His personality, humour and love for his country and people was clear throughout the whole day. Our side trip to the rural Cam Kim Island allowed us to cycle through rice fields and communities to absorb more of what Vietnam is all about. The 2 families we visited on the Island openingly welcomed our family of 4 into theirs. We were able to observe and all participate in making rice paper and noodles in two separate homes. The idea that our tour went a small way to helping those families was a great feeling for us and also to Lam. Lam was willing to take photos of our family at any attraction. Everything ran smoothly, Lam was early for our hotel pickup, in between excursions we did not have to wait for our driver or boats. His knowledge of Hoi An was amazing and love for his job (Da NAng and Hoi An) was truly apparent. The best tour ever. — Traveller: Geoffrey B from Tripadvisor
