Thumbs up to Xuan Tu Tours and Lam
We joined a day tour to Hoi An departing from Da Nang and it was nothing short of amazing ! We were greeted first thing in the morning by our fantastic guide turned friend Lam at our hotel lobby, and our tour brought us to the fun basket boat rides in the coconut village to the historic old town of Hoi An, with a serene lunch in between at a local vegetable farm. Lam spoke fluent English with an incredible sense of humor and was knowledgeable in detailing the history and information of each stop along the way. He even brought us to experience the local culture through walks in the alley ways to street food tasting which we would never have done by ourselves. Great food tour in Da Nang
We had a blast with Duy who took us right around Da Nang to places we would have never found by ourselves. The food was great and we tried many local dishes that were delicious. The tour provided a great insight to local cuisine and we would highly recommend the tour to those visiting Da Nang. Great tours experience – despite the pouring rain!
We had two tours booked back to back – Da Nang and Hoi An and then My Son on the following day. Braved the downpour on both days and turned out to be a grand experience. On the first day, Quan and Mua Thu were our guides to Da Nang and Hoi An. They were really accommodating and friendly. Took time to explain each site and location. The climb up the Marble Mountain was a bit treacherous with all of the water running down the steps (mini-waterfalls, as Quan called it). We spent the afternoon with a visit to Hoi An – highlight was towards the end of the evening with all of the lanterns lit. Second day tour to My Son started in the afternoon with our tour guide Lam. He was humorous and very personable. It kind of felt like getting a tour from a friend. Again, it was raining- but that didn’t damp our spirits.
