Danang tour was excellent!
Our guide, Tuan Duy,proved to be an excellent tour guide! He had very good knowledge of the history and culture of Vietnam and Danang in particular. After sitting with us in the hotel and asking what we wanted to see, he made several suggestions that we agreed would be a wonderful day. We started with the temples and Lady Buddha. Duy was especially patient as my wife and I tried to look at and photograph everything. Duy asked often if we wanted our picture taken with the sites and pointed out things we didn’t see, explaining what we were looking at and the history behind it. He and our driver were very willing to stop and let us take pictures of basket boats and explaining why there were these crazy looking boats and how to paddle one. We then went to Longs coffee, in business with the same family since 1939, and introduced us to Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk. Delicious! After that we drove to the open market, at our request, and tasted some Vietnamese treats and fruits, something we would never do on our own. Then it was time for lunch and I asked if we could have Pho, which I have never tried even though there are thousands of Pho restaurants in the US. Duy took us to a small, local restaurant and it was exactly what we wanted to experience. Finished with lunch, we drove to Marble Mountain which is a must see attraction in Danang. Duy was especially patient with my wife who was a little slow on the steps, asking often if she wanted to rest. I really appreciated his concern. He pointed out all the mountains (I thought there was only one) and showed us pretty much all of the caves and temples/statues/interesting artifacts as well as the history from ancient times to modern. I asked if we could visit a site where they carved the statuary that lined the streets. He took us to a “Factory” where they explained the sculptor worked in a different location. So off we went to an amazing place where we did see the sculptor working on a piece. It was so impressive we bought three pieces and had them shipped home. We couldn’t be more pleased with Duy and when we got back to the hotel I booked another tour, with Duy, to Hoi An! — Traveller: 380bobmullen from Tripadvisor
A Fantastic 50/50 Danang and Hoi An Tour by Duy~
Engage Xuan Tu for a “introduction” trip for me in Danang as this is the first time i am here. Took up their 50/50 Danang and Hoi An package. They engage a tour named Duy to me today and man he is such a chatty and nice guide. He bought me to the few popular places in Danang and intro me the “egg coffee”, which can only be found in few places in Vietnam. it is such a good drink ! After tat, he proceed to bring me to Hoi An Marble mountain and the ancient city. Great exploration and knowledge sharing by him to learn about the nice places in Danang and Hoi An. Thank you once again for your good planning and company. ^.^v — Traveller: Zhang J from Tripadvisor
Marble mountain and My son temple
My wife and I really enjoyed our marble mountain and my son temple tour with Lam, a Da Nang local. He was very funny, knowledgeable and kind, and it was definitely one of the highlights of our trip! — Traveller: David J from Tripadvisor
Visiting the local history
we did 3 tours : the 50/50 da nang and hoi an, the my son tour and the hue tour. The 50/50 da nang and hoi an was amazing and we were super lucky to get one of the best tour guide ever, her English was very nice and she was super friendly, smiling and genuinely cared about our experience and about communicating her passion for the history and culture of Vietnam. The tour was super informative and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide. We later asked by txt a bunch of questions about da nang and dong hoi ( the city where she is from) when we visited and she was always helpful even though she didn’t need to. The second tour was the My son tour, for us this was the worst of the three, the guide didn’t seem interested and didn’t talk to us all the way there which was around 1h30 drive away. She didn’t have umbrella in the van even though it was raining outside ( I am not sure who to blame for that) and for the price ( around 3 million for 4) we felt like it was very expensive taking into consideration the visit of my son lasted barely 1h30. This means a 3h drive total for 1h30 of touring. even though the temple is beautiful it didn’t feel like the amount of time/information we got for the price was worth it. The final tour was with Quan, just like our first guide he was awesome, talked to us all the drive there giving us anecdotes along the road he was passionate and full of knowledge and it showed he really liked doing this and sharing his passion. Hue was beautiful and full of awesome monuments and you NEED a guide to explain the history otherwise you are missing out on the main component of the trip. In conclusion both Mua The and Quan are highly recommended good quality guide that will transmit their energy, passion and knowledge. We would recommend both the 50/50 tour and the hue tour. The total price we got was 12 400 000 dong for the three tours, and expensive price. The 2 full day private tours lasting 10h+ are well worth it at around 9M total priced a great way to visit the area. — Traveller: CyprienB329 from Tripadvisor
Incredibly fun day out
Xuan Tu & Lam are awesome. They are both intelligent, energetic and fun. We had a private tour with 5 people and learnt so much about Hoi An and Vietnam from Lam. All in all it was great day out, a flexible tour and a lot of laughs! We would all highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Hoi An and Da Nang. Thanks again guys! — Traveller: stephsocial from Tripadvisor
