Two excellent days
We spent two full day trips with our wonderful and knowledgeable guide Quan. From the offset he was friendly, and we found him to be a very mannerable young man! The first day we spent in Hoi an, having a boat trip, seeing grass mats being made, rice noodles being made (I even had a go!!) visited the Japanese bridge, explored the ancient part of Hoi an, and much more. On the second day we went to Danang and visited the My son missionary sanctuary, visited some of the temples, saw the Lady Buddha, Monkey Mountain, drove across the dragon bridge, had lunch in a traditional Vietnamese restaurant, and much more. All-in-all we had a wonderful time, thanks to Quan. The transport used was first class, as was the driver! Would thoroughly recommend this company, and with Quan as your guide, you will be sure to enjoy any of the trips available! — Traveller: Margaret W from Tripadvisor
Danang to Hoi An day tour
Our tour of Hoi An from initial inquiry and booking to the actual tour was flawless and top quality. We had two 10 year olds with us and were a bit worried about how receptive they would be to a tour of a world heritage town. But our guide Lam was amazingly wonderful with our kids, patiently showing and teaching them about traditional local village life, and introducing them to the fascinating history of Hoi An and Vietnam. All the while, looking after our every needs and details and showing us a side of Hoi An and the local culture that you would not experience by yourself or group tour. A huge thumbs up for Xuân’s tour operation and our guide Lam. When your ten year olds tells you that it was the most fruitful and rewarding day of touring and learning they have ever had, and says that they liked so much Lam and missed him immediately after we got back to the hotel, you know it was really magical. — Traveller: bangbylin from Tripadvisor
Fantastic Half Day from Hoi An to Da Nang with Tommy
My partner and I have just returned from our recent trip to Vietnam and our tour with this company was one of the highlights of the trip. We asked Xuan to arrange a half-day tour taking us from our accommodation in Hoi An up to Da Nang where we would catch a train at lunchtime. We were collected by our guide Tommy at 8.30am and spent a wonderful, informative 4 hours with him. Tommy was incredibly friendly and made us feel extremely welcome from the minute we got in the car. He told us about his home town, Hoi An, where we had spent 3 days and informed us about lots of the scenery on the drive out of the town. Our first stop was at the Marble Mountains, where Tommy told us all about the history of Buddhist culture and took us into lots of fascinating areas of the site that we would never have found ourselves. He took so many fantastic photographs of us and knew all the best photo spots. We then visited a family working in marble carving at the bottom of the mountains. We were told that ordinarily the family would be able to show us the sculptures being carved but unfortunately the workers were on holiday for Tet (lunar new year). We kept this stop brief as we were only able to visit their shop and we were conscious our half day was flying past too quickly. We then enjoyed the drive up to My Khe beach and had the chance to take some more great photos on the beach, before heading up to the Lady Buddha statue where we enjoyed the gorgeous views over Da Nang. Tommy then took us into the city to take us for some Vietnamese coffee at the oldest coffee shop in Da Nang. As coffee lovers, this was a great highlight for us. Tommy was so hospitable and kindly treated us to our coffees as it was my birthday that day – such a kind gesture! We loved having the chance to sit with Tommy in a local café and hear about his life. We then stopped by a fantastic Banh Mi stall for some baguettes to take on to the train and were dropped off at the station in time for our train to Hue. We only wish we had been able to spend longer on this tour – I’m sure the full day trips must be fantastic! Thank you Tommy for your wonderful company and stories on our trip – we loved getting the chance to spend the time with you and see some highlights in your incredible country. Best Tour during our Cruise
We recently returned from a Holland America Cruise from Singapore to Hong Kong. The majority of our tours were private tours that we selected based on Trip Advisor reviews. We had excellent tours, but I must say that this was our best. Xuan Tu was great to work with. She provided the information we requested immediately and was very informative. She also followed up with us both before and after the tour. Anthony, our tour guide, met us at the ship in a new, air-conditioned van with internet on-board. He suggested that we visit Hoi An first, so that we could beat the crowds of people on the ship tours. It worked perfectly. We visited a silk shop, where we learned how silk is processed. Anthony, then escorted us through the town of Hoi An, telling us about the history of the town and giving us plenty of time to visit the shops that we wanted to see. After Hoi An, we drove back to Da Nang where we visited the Marble Mountain, drove along the beach to see the fishing boats and then to Lady Buddha. Anthony was an excellent guide. He is very knowledgeable, accommodating and his English is perfect. I would highly recommend this tour. — Traveller: jrw1717 from Tripadvisor
MAGNIFICENT, FABULOUS, A HIGHLIGHT OF OUR LIVES!
We were recently on a cruise ship and docked at Da Nang Vietnam. I found this tour company, rated #1 on Trip Advisor. The owner is Xuan Tu, a lovely young woman who has the BEST website I have ever seen for a tour company and guide. I emailed her and she responds very quickly and in very great detail. Her English is perfect! We decided on the tour to Cam Kim Island and Hoi An. Xuan Tu picked us up at the port gate in a very comfortable , new SUV with a great driver. From the moment she met my husband and I, we knew it would be a day we would never forget! Xuan Tu is passionate, knowledgeable and very informative. We learned about the culture of her city, the lives of the people and the history. We first passed through De Nang- which is a very interesting and beautiful modern city. We then proceeded to a small private boat on the river to Cam Kim Island. We walked around the island and visited a pre-school where the young children were taking a nap. So interesting to see the one room school house and the smiling teacher. We passed some houses that had very interesting crafts and gifts to buy. The prices were very reasonable. I bought some lovely wooden bowls there. The first house we visited made rice crackers and rice noodles. We were able to walk through their home, seeing how they lived and slept, where they stored their rice, cooked their meals and their backyard. We met the whole smiling, happy family even the elderly grandmother. They were all so friendly and we felt very welcomed. We then saw how the rice crackers and rice noodles are made. My husband and I each got to try making our own! That was so much fun. I have great videos I took of that. Afterwards we sat down on wooden stools in the front of the house where the wife joined us to taste the rice crackers with sauces provided. They were delicious! This was an authentic home business, not anything touristy! Xuan Tu thought of this idea for her tour company and she was right on target that people would find this so interesting to see how a family lives and works in their homes. Xuan Tu helps to support these families and you can tell they love and respect her! We then got back on the boat and went to another home that made floor mats. It was interesting to see how they weave the mats by hand. Xuan Tu explained how the colors are dyed to achieve the beautiful floor mats they make. The wife gave us two colorful placemats as a gift to take home. What a lovely couple we met making these mats in their home. After these two visits we had a great understanding of how these two families live. They all had big smiles on their faces and we really enjoyed that they opened up their homes to us so we could experience this part of the tour. We also visited the local dockyard to see how wooden boats are made. Xuan Tu explained in detail the kind of woods used and it was very interesting. We then got back on the boat to go to the beautiful ancient city of Hoi An. We saw lovely buildings and also went to an Ancient House that is very interesting. We strolled for a couple of hours in this lovely city. All along Xuan Tu is explaining the history and the sites. She does it in a fun, meaningful way! There is also great shopping here. We also stopped for Vietnamese coffee at a coffee house. Also I had a delicious cold beer! Xuan Tu is an amazing young woman! A real entrepreneur. In a few short years she has built a great tour company. She has many guides working for her that she said all are wonderful. You will be fascinated by her charm, loving personality and what she has achieved. We shared great laughs and she is so much fun to be with. We felt we have made a friend for life! When the tour ended she gave us a gift and a beautiful hand written card and lovely postcard. She also sent us great pictures she had taken of us after the tour. She was also very accommodating to our special requests we had. If you are looking for a FABULOUS tour in Hoi An than you must use Xuan Tu’s company! You will remember this day for a very long time! Thank you Xuan Tu for a MAGNIFICENT day! You are truly a very special young woman! My husband and I had a tour we will always remember – but the true highlight was meeting you! We love you! — Traveller: Sally6 from Tripadvisor
