Best introduction to Hoi An food and history

I found Danang Hoi An Tours from a random google search for Hoi An food tours, and I was not disappointed. A private car and my tourguides Tommy and … picked me up from My homestay in Danang to take me to Hoi An. Tommy is a Hoi An local, and he was a wealth of information. Along the way he told me about different things as we passed, about tourism in the area, and small tidbits that you’d never find in a guide book. We checked out Tommy’s favourite local spots for coffee, lunch, and dessert in between visiting historical sites in old town. He even showed me a local lantern making shop and recommended a good tailor. After my tour the car picked us up again and drove me to my next homestay near the beach. I had a super fun day hanging out my guides. Even in the rain! And I had Cau Lau noodles three more times while I was in Hoi An. Soo yummy 😉 — Traveller: Randi S from Tripadvisor

Your of Da Nang and Hoi An

XuĂąn TĂș was the perfect guide for the perfect tour. Excellent in everyday. She was exceptionally knowledgeable and gave us the tour she promised. Extra stops for pictures and shopping as needed. Would recommend her without hesitation. She and her team are excellent. — Traveller: racooper from Tripadvisor

Hoi An private tour via the Carpentry Village

We did the full day tour from Dang to Hoi An via Cam Kim island. We were picked up promptly at our resort in Da Nang by our tour guide Quan and our driver. We were then taken via boat to the Carpentry village on Cam Kim island. Here we learnt the art of making boats and then cycled around the island. We stopped at local houses where we learnt to make placemats from the grass reeds, then off to another house where we made rice paper noodles and sampled these after. It all made me feel very lucky that I live in Australia, they lead such primitive lives. Every person we met were all very friendly and most helpful. We then took the boat back to Hoi An and Quan showed us around the old town, visiting the sights and learning the history. There is plenty of time to shop and Quan took us to a tailor to have some dresses made. There is lots of walking on this tour but can be done at your own pace. We ended the tour at around 4pm as we were a bit weary and I found the constant traffic noise a bit annoying. Best to visit the old town after 3pm when no cars or motorbikes are allowed. Quan was a fantastic guide and very easy to talk to and to accommodate our needs. We highly recommend this tour for getting to see how the locals live and to see the old town for sightseeing, food and shopping. — Traveller: 909denises from Tripadvisor

Hoi An private tour with Quan

My family and I visited Da Nang during tĂȘt festival. We went on a Hoi An private tour with our guide, Quan. Quan was extremely friendly, helpful and informative throughout our entire trip, and we felt very welcomed throughout our trip in Hoi An. Hoi An has a very quaint and pretty old town, which is a must-see! Quan gave us very detailed explanation of the history and features of the historical buildings. We had a great time and would love to visit again! Thank you for the excellent organization, Xuan TĂș, Quan and colleagues! — Traveller: Jieying T from Tripadvisor

Tours of Da Nang

I came to Da Nang with my family for a family vacation and in order to see the sights better, I decided to book 2 tours through Xuan and her company. From the get go I was more than pleased with her professionalism and punctuality when it came to sorting things out through email. She was very friendly and gave me straight answers on my questions. When it came to the first tour of Da Nang, we were introduced to Lam, our guide. Not to sell him short, he was nothing less than amazing! Always polite, very knowledgeable and loved to have a good joke. He showed us through marble mountain, monkey mountain and lady Buddha. No matter what question we asked, he always had the answer along with a joke or story. Even after the first tour ended, his professionalism and just genuine postive personality stayed the same. A few days later our second tour started and my family and I were looking forward to it even more because we knew we would be spending the day with Lam again. He greeted us with genuine enthusiasm and we were on our way. This tour was a tour of the ancient city of Hoi An. Once again Lam did not disappoint. He asked us firstly if we wanted to bike around the island or go for a ferry ride. We opted for a bike ride and he was more than happy to oblige. Our day was made infinitely better because of him. Overall, Xuan and Lam were extremely professional and just a pleasure to be around. I would highly recommend. — Traveller: Steve I from Tripadvisor
