Great experience with Hoi An and My Son tour
My wife and I took our eight year old son on a full day Hoi An and My Son tour with Xuan Tu’s team on Jan 25. Tommy, our tour guide, was very friendly throughout the tour and took care of us the entire trip. We had very good local food, places where we couldn’t have found ourselves. On top of the itinerary, Tommy took us where we also wanted to go along the way, such as the tailor and coffee place where we wanted to get some local coffee beans. Tommy also gave us good recommendations on local spas, restaurants and places to shop for our next few days in Danang. Amazing Experience
In 2015 my wife and I had an a fantastic day with Xuan Tu. Having recommended her to our friends for the past 18 months we again returned to Hoi An this month with our parents and children (7 of us aged from 12 to 68). Our entire family was blown away by our experience and our parents are now keen to go back and spend more time with Xuan Tu. Two of us had knee problems and Xuan Tu arranged for a van to pick us up from our hotel. Our first stop was a boat that took us to Cam Kim Island. There we picked up bikes and we cycled around the island. The best thing about this tour is that you have the opportunity to meet and (through Xuan Tu) talk to local people. We visited a boat building business, a family that makes rice paper (we all loved having a go at making rice paper and talking to the family), a family that makes mats, a wood carving master and we enjoyed biking through the rice paddies. For lunch we went to Mr Son (look him up on TripAdvisor – food is amazing and affordable) and then we explored Hoi An. Another reason to book a tour with Xuan Tu is that she supports local people, local businesses and helps protect and sustain traditional crafts. Each time you visit local people you support their livelihood and it is incredible experience learning about their family history and having an opportunity to support the family. That night we felt privileged to be invited to Xuan Tu’s house where her mum had prepared a beautiful meal for us. We loved our evening, the company, conversation, the beautiful songs of Mrs Mai and experiencing Da Nang that evening. Next time we will definitely stay with Xuan Tu at her homestay. We all can not speak highly enough of Xuan Tu and her team. She is incredibly dedicated to her clients, business and local community, and she goes through great lengths to ensure that everyone on her tours has an amazing experience. Da Nang & Hoi An Tour ‘GREAT’
Lam Huynh met us at the port. Lam was a great guide with lots of information about the places we visited. Starting at the Lady Buddha with views of Da Nang and its beaches, then to Hoi An and later marble Mountain. Even in the mist and rain it was a wonderful trip. In Hoi An Lam introduced us to a local tea shop and also a small local eatery where we enjoyed authentic delicious food and had a toast with a local party across the street. Wandering the streets, taking in local culture and decorations for the New Year’s celebration. The Lady Buddha and its grounds are stunning. Superb experience of Da Nang and Hoi An
James, Quan, gave us a wonderful experience of these 2 locations. We feel that we engaged in responsible tourism through this organisation. The highlight is Cam Kim island and James arranged everything from the boat rides, the bicycle hire, the rice noodle making and mat making visits inside the homes of generous locals. The boat making and carpentry (wood carving) skills in that community were worth witnessing. James English is exceptionally good, so good that joking and playing with expressions were part of the fun. The tour of Da Nang was very good, affording views of the beaches and Lady Buddha. The driver and vehicle were top of the line, excellent service. Flexible and personal. We really appreciated everything that James showed us at a pace perfect for us.
