Happy trip and worth it
First trip to central Vietnam, Da Nang and I chanced upon this forum. i contacted Xuân Tú (pronounced Soong Tú) she was very patience and provide good suggestion, We decided to opt for this tour packages (Da Nang and Cam Kim island Tour). Xuan Tu did not attend to us but assigned her colleague, Tommy to take care of us, me and my friend. On the date of the tour, i was not feeling too well in the morning, our tour started at 9am. We did the first stop at the local coffeehouse and Tommy noticed that i was not feeling well and suggested that i should go back to the hotel and rest for an hour before heading off to Hoi an. i was grateful to him and seek his advise. He came by again at 11am to pick us up at the hotel, although i am not well but an hour of rest did calm me a bit, we proceed to Hoi AN. Tommy was a patience guy and he gave many suggestion throughout the journey. We went on to tour Hoi an and the island tour and visited two local house by bike. it was indeed fun and eye catcher for us from the City. Haha. first time i saw water buffalo in my eyes, crossing our paths. we have fun evening in Hoi An although it was raining. We end the tour with a visit to the Lady buddha and dragon bridge. i must said it was a fun, and enjoyable trip with Tommy. we chat a lot and is good to have him to bring us around. for those traveller who want to experience the local lifestyle of da nang and hoi an or other places, you can count on them to provide you the best of both world. i will come back and look for them in the future. thank you for the time and god bless! cheers Baldwin 29th Sept to 2 Oct 2016 — Traveller: BaldwinL9 from Tripadvisor
Happy Buddha :-)
Just back to our hotel after a fantastic afternoon with Xuân Tú. A couple of months ago my I contacted Xuân Tú to see if she could help my wife and I with a tour around some of the sights of DaNang. We had a free Saturday before we left the area to head to Hanoi and Xuân Tú happily recommended the key sights and adjusted the timeframes to suit us. All was arranged via email, with very prompt and detailed answers. Xuân Tú was also happy for us to pay on the day, no deposit needed. We were met early at our hotel in Hoi An and immediately felt comfortable with Xuân Tú. Her English is superb, she is funny, knowledgeable and absolutely “down to earth”…. she is very quickly just like a friend spending the afternoon with you. We took in the Marble Mountains, great coffee, off the track food (which was excellent), a *very* local market, Lady Buddha and some of the lights and sights of DaNang at night. We would absolutely recommend Xuân Tú to anyone looking for a guide around the DaNang, Hue and Hoi An districts. — Traveller: timwK9738NG from Tripadvisor
Xuantu and her team is wonderful!
I recently hired Xuantu as a fixer and interpreter for my business trip in Hoi An, and very much enjoyed working with her. In fact, I wouldn’t have been able to do my job without her support. She is just great! Before my visit, Xuantu kindly helped me reach out to people I need to talk with in Hoi An, and prepared for on-the-ground work. She showed up on time, had an excellent planning for the day and helped translate and facility conversations with locals. Xuantu has a magic to make everyone around her happy, and her English is super good. I can’t thank her more for all the help. If I come back to Hoi An again, I will definitely have her as a tour guide for business or for leasure. She is a true pleasure to work with. I strongly recommend Xuantu to anyone who visits Hoi An. — Traveller: Coco_Ariel from Tripadvisor
Felt like an old friend
We booked a last minute day tour of Danang and were lucky enough to have Xuan Tu (sounds like “song two”) as our guide. It was a great tour of the city with stops including Marble Mountain, the giant Lady Buddha, a market and more. She could not have been more helpful, everything from helping us find a laundry service for our clothing to giving us ideas, tips, and contacts for the rest of our stay in Vietnam. Every step of the way she made sure that our needs were met. We stopped at a local coffee shop for delicious Vietnamese coffee, and an out of the way local restaurant for lunch that was absolutely delicious. No way would we have found it or tried it on our own. Xuan did all of the ordering, translating, and negotiating for us through the day. You could tell Xuan Tu loves her city and makes sure that you will see it in it’s best light. It truly felt like we were out for the day with an old and dear friend. You can not go wrong with her service! — Traveller: glennc282 from Tripadvisor
Day trip to Hoi An
If you are looking for a glimpse into real life Vietnam plus a walk through the old town of Hoi An then this is the trip for you! our guide Xuan Tu picked us up from our hotel and took us to Hoi An. She took us to through the food market and we tried local husband & wife cake and other foods. We walked down the riverside stalls then caught a boat across to Cam Nam Island we visited a boat building yard then headed off on bicycles through paddy fields and stopped to visit a local Master carver, made rice paper and shared tea, sesame rice paper with the family. We also visited the temple of a well known local family, had a lesson in mat weaving and learnt how the families live from day to day. Lunch was at a local eatery & Xuan ordered a selection of foods for us to try. All were delicious! We visited the oldest house in Hoi An and a delightful tea house called Reaching Out Tea House where we enjoyed tea & lovely cookies. Xuan also bought us a super wafer type sweet treat from a street vendor. She pointed out great food places for us to come back & visit. Hoi An is beautiful and even more so when lit up at night with all the lanterns. We would not have experienced anywhere near as much by ourselves or with a big tour. This is definitely the best way to experience Hoi An and the local culture. Thanks Xuan we had the most fabulous day with you! — Traveller: KellieO61 from Tripadvisor
