Tour with Tommy – Awesome
My wife and I did a tour to My Son and it was great. The guide spoke great English and we not only learned a lot about the My Son but also about life in Vietnam by just chatting with tommy about whatever we wanted. Super cool, and great chicken noodle soup after! — Traveller: Ragnar09 from Tripadvisor
Check it out! Fantastic private tour!
My friend and I booked the private day long tour. We were picked up at 10.30am at our hotel and taken by car to the first stop on our trip. Everything was easy to arrange. I liaised with Quan by email to make the booking. She suggested an itinerary and there was no problem in modifying it for a particular activity we wanted to try (riding a buffalo!) Our guide was Tommy. His passion and enthusiasm for his home town really came across. He always had interesting facts about every destination and was willing to answer any questions. He had a light hearted and friendly manner and was the perfect companion for us for the day. As well as the buffalo ride, we visited Cam Kim island to see the local carpentry workshop and the home of a local family – we even tried our hand at making rice paper! We also had a tour of the old town, including the temples and ancient houses. Tommy also took us to a lovely local restaurant for lunch, a cafe for more of that beautiful coffee, and then we sampled the best Banh Mi sandwiches in town! Despite the horrendous (!) rain in the morning, Tommy ensured we still had a fantastic day and didn’t let that get in the way of showing us the sights. Just bring a rain poncho! 🙂 Thank you again to Tommy and the team! — Traveller: N C from Tripadvisor
Perfect day out, tailored just how you like it
We had a great day with our guide Tommy. He was so friendly and shared lots of his local knowledge with us that we would never have learned going out by ourselves. We also ventured places we would never have known to go as he knew what backstreets to take and what was worth seeing, so it cuts out the hit and miss. With a local guide we also got to visit inside a family home and see the carpentry workshop rather than just the shop front. As it was a private tour they provided suggestions for us and also accommodated our requests which meant we could make the most of our time and enjoy all of the experience. Xuân Tú who we arranged the booking with was very helpful too and quick to reply, even with our last minute booking. — Traveller: Jacs8008 from Tripadvisor
Awesome tour
My boyfriend and I booked a day tour to Hoi An. It was a great experience and an eye opener too, seeing the small village that we were toured to. Our guide Quan was very informative and took good care of us for the duration of the whole tour from start to end. Very witty too! What’s great about the tour is that we were not rushed to see and experience everything. We enjoyed every single minute. — Traveller: Reginadl from Tripadvisor
Hoi An private tour via the Carpentry Village
We did the full day tour from Dang to Hoi An via Cam Kim island. We were picked up promptly at our resort in Da Nang by our tour guide Quan and our driver. We were then taken via boat to the Carpentry village on Cam Kim island. Here we learnt the art of making boats and then cycled around the island. We stopped at local houses where we learnt to make placemats from the grass reeds, then off to another house where we made rice paper noodles and sampled these after. It all made me feel very lucky that I live in Australia, they lead such primitive lives. Every person we met were all very friendly and most helpful. We then took the boat back to Hoi An and Quan showed us around the old town, visiting the sights and learning the history. There is plenty of time to shop and Quan took us to a tailor to have some dresses made. There is lots of walking on this tour but can be done at your own pace. We ended the tour at around 4pm as we were a bit weary and I found the constant traffic noise a bit annoying. Best to visit the old town after 3pm when no cars or motorbikes are allowed. Quan was a fantastic guide and very easy to talk to and to accommodate our needs. We highly recommend this tour for getting to see how the locals live and to see the old town for sightseeing, food and shopping. — Traveller: 909denises from Tripadvisor
