3 day tour – Hue, Hoi An and Da Nang
We booked a 3 day tour with Xuan Tu and had Xinh My and Anh as our tour guides. Xinh was extremely knowledgeable about the history of central Vietnam and gave us a really amazing tour. Day 1: On the first day, we toured Da Nang city seeing Marble Mountain, the local markets, a few pagodas and the Lady Buddha. Xinh ended the tour by taking us to a wonderful Vietnamese restaurant that was truly one of the most memorable meals of our trip. Day 2: We headed to Hoi An for a tour of the city and took a boat to visit some of the local villages. Hoi An is absolutely stunning and getting to visit with tour guides who clearly knew the city well was wonderful. Again, Xinh took us to restaurants to delight in local cuisine that we would not have likely stumbled on if we were traveling on our own. Day 3: trip to Hue (the imperial city). If you enjoy walking through history and learning about the history of the Nguyen dynasty, this is the trip for you. We toured the imperial city as well as a few beautiful Pagodas and headed home. Xuan Tu Tours is on the pricier end, but for a private tour with wonderful people who take the time to learn about what you like and want to see, it’s definitely worth booking with them. It’s clear that not only are the tour guides knowledgeable but they truly love their jobs. Xuan Tu cares about making sure tourists love Vietnam, and doing this tour was one of the highlights of our trip. P.S. when booking with them try to get Xinh My and Anh as your tour guides. I booked a private tour to Hue with Madarin speaking guide and it was wonderful and detail focused. Our guide An arranged a local food experience for us which was amazing, and she introduced us history of Vietnam and answered our question and curiosity at her best. And thanked to the driver who drove safely and comfortably. The best way to get to know this place!
We booked a private day trip to Hue before our arrival. Heard that it takes 2 hours to Hue from Da Nang, so was a bit worried about such long-distance transportation, but our tour guide, Miss An, made this trip so wonderful! An can speak Chinese quite fluently, and thanks to her, we now know more about the history of Vietnam, which goes far beyond our expectations! Also, An took good care of us since she picked us up from the hotel. For example, they noticed if the bottled water is cool enough for us, as it’s quite hot outside. They also brought us to the local market for tasting local cuisine with very reasonable price! Tu Mai and Lam Huynh at Xuan Tu Tours are not only amazing guides and cultural liaisons, but they are also fantastic ambassadors to regional and local Vietnamese culture, and genuinely kind, intelligent, funny, creative, and truly inspirational people in their own right. Our program at WVU has now used Xuan Tu Tours on two consecutive trips to Vietnam, and not if, but when we come again, they will be our first point of contact! Private Tour – Da’nang + Hue
I don’t write reviews often in fact I don’t think I have ever done so, however I was so pleased with Xuan Tu Tours I felt it was only justified. We had the pleasure of doing 2 tours whilst visiting Da’nang and Hoi An last week. We visited Hue on a private day tour with the ever pleasant and knowledgeable Tuey. A couple of days later we did our tour of Da’nang and were lucky enough to have not only Xuan Tu herself as our guide but also Quinny her assistant. Xuan Tu was just terrific and full of information on everything to do with her country. Nothing was too much trouble for her, she was kind enough to send information on a tailor and local spa through WhatsApp after our trip. Tours were booked 1 week in advance along with airport transfers and response time via email was a matter of hours. Everything from pick up, to the vehicle, lunch location to drop off was excellent and I would recommend for sure.
