Fantastic Da Nang/Hoi An Day Tour
We had a fun day with Duy, our tour guide! He was a super cool and friendly guy, and very knowledgeable about the area’s history and general information. The tour was very flexible and allowed us to fully enjoy Hoi An’s Ancient Town. We even got tailored suits there for the two men in the family! Overall, it was a really really awesome experience. I took my family for Hoi An / Da Nang tour and we had Duy as our guide. He was very kind and thoughtful throughout the entire tour. We went to Hoi An, Marble Mountain, etc. He gave detailed explanations to every places. He showed us all the local spots and made us feel included and he made sure we were comfortable and was a very welcoming presence. Danang and Hoi An
We had a great 2 days touring Danang, Hoi An and My Son with Lap! He was so knowledgeable and accommodating always trying to show us as much as possible and share history, culture and traditions of Vietnam! We enjoyed the tour and Lap’s company a lot. Long but excellent day trip to Hue from Hoi An
Although more expensive than two other quotes we’d received “Song Too” as she pronounces her name sounded more comprehensive and detailed oriented in her quick email responses to our questions so we went with Xuan Tú and weren’t disappointed. The car was an impeccably clean Toyota Fortuner (think Highlander) SUV and the driver was safe and skilled as he negotiated crazy driving from other aggressive drivers with aplomb. Our guide Quan (pronounced Kwan) spoke excellent English and was a treasure of knowledge about Vietnamese history and about Hue and all points along the 3 hour car ride. He didn’t rush us and adjusted the day to our likes and even escorted us to a very nice vegetarian place for lunch in Hue. He would quiz us to test our memory on various tidbits he’d shared earlier which made for a fun encounter. We visited the imperial citadel, the pagoda and two tombs. We left at 730am from our hotel in Hoi An and returned 12 hours later satiated. The weather didn’t cooperate as it rained all day so we used the tunnel both ways and missed out on the mountain pass which was a bummer but not the tour guide or company’s problem. Great day out still thanks to the excellent arrangements and Quan’s easy flexible approach and friendly demeanor coupled with his deep knowledge. Don’t let his young age of 23 fool you. Fabulous day spent in Da Nang and Hoi An with tour guide Lam
We had a fabulous full day spent in Da Nang and Hoi An with Lam, our tour guide for the day. His Enligsh was impeccable and he had a witty charm that made the day a lot of fun! Despite some iffy weather (there was a bit of rain off and on), Lam kept us in very positive spirits throughout the day, and showed great enthusiasm as he sought to give us the “local” experience. He went out of his way to accommodate everyone in our group (including someone with a vegan diet), and wanted to get to know us on a personal level. The tour kicked off with a stop in a local coffee shop (we had to be the only non-locals there), and the day proceeded with a number of sightseeing stops, where Lam helped us avoid the crowds and focused our attention on what we wanted to see most. In addition to all of the sightseeing, Lam also arranged lunch at a very authentic local restaurant, which was a very nice way to break up the day. The vehicle was clean and in meticulous condition.
