Superb day out

Had a fabulous day touring Hoi An with the engaging and effervescent Xuan Tu yesterday. My husband and I were so impressed with this tour we believe Xuan Tu must be the best tour guide in Vietnam. Her passion for Vietnam, it’s people, history and culture were exciting, not just an information rundown. We were shown a truly interesting insight into Hoi An, it’s history and the lives of the people who live and work there. As we walked or rode our bikes we couldn’t help but notice the sincere respect and friendships Xuan Tu has built with the community. She showed us all the tourist highlights as well as places not on the usual tourist map. We particularly enjoyed meeting local families in their homes and seeing a little of their lifestyles and being welcomed with such generosity. We would highly recommend Private Hoi An Guide-Tours to anyone. — Traveller: LORRAINE S from Tripadvisor

Very special memories and experiences

From the moment Xuan Tu and Lam picked us up at our hotel, we knew we were in for a very special two days of touring. These amazing young guides are knowledgeable, funny, and very engaging. We appreciated their obvious passion and love for their country and the Vietnamese people. We were introduced to Vietnamese history and culture in a personal and profound way. Our first day with Xuan Tu and Lam included a cycling and walking tour of Hoi An and Cam Kim Island, and our second day we toured Da Nang, Lady Buddha and Marble Mountain, in addition to a local coffee house and lovely local beach. One of the most special memories will always be our lunch at a small and lovely restaurant, where they presented our daughter with a surprise birthday cake. We were all moved to tears by the sweetness and sincerity of this gesture. Our days with Xuan Tu and Lam are sure to remain some of our absolute favorite family memories. — Traveller: lesnblake from Tripadvisor

Way above expectation!

Our tour with Tommy was the highlight of our trip. He was enthusiastic and cheerful in the best possible way. He was never pushy or trying too hard. We were a big family of 7 adults and 5 kids so we weren’t into detailed history, but Tommy engaged us with many fun facts about the places we went to (Marble Mountain, Lady Buddha, My Khe beach, Hoi An Ancient Town). It was never boring. We also got to ride on the cyclo. The kids loved it! Tommy even bought wooden zodiac whistles for the children, it was very sweet of him. He also patiently waited for us when we stopped to have the local dessert. I wish we had booked a 2-day tour instead of one. Xuan Tu’s email and whatsapp response was rather slow tho, I’m not sure if it’s due to her internet connection or she’s just really busy. But other than that, everything was perfect. I would engage Xuan Tu’s private tour again (with Tommy as a guide) without hesitation. — Traveller: Grace R from Tripadvisor

Amazing!

We were SO lucky to have both Xuan Tu and Lam show us around Hoi An and a nearby island. I felt like Xuan Tu helped us dive into the culture and experience local life, all while teaching us about the history of the area. As a 16 year old in a family of 4, I thought she made sure the tour met all of our needs and interests. She also brought us to the most amazing restaurants! What an amazing way to experience Vietnam 🙂 — Traveller: emmablake00 from Tripadvisor

An amazing tour with amazing people!

I am a teenager, and travelled with Xuan Tu and Lam with my family. They were both so fun to listen to, and were such lovely people. They took us to a small village, and we visited two local homes in that village. In one home, we made rice paper, and after sat down with the mother of that house and had iced tea and home-made rice crackers. After that, we then went to another home and helped two local women make sleeping mats by the river. When visiting this village, we travelled by bike, which was a brilliant way to get around, as we were able to see so many different things while emersing ourselves in the Vietnamese culture. We visited a family temple, and rode our bikes through beautiful, and peaceful rice fields. Xuan Tu and Lam also took us to Hoi An, where we saw many things, including an ancient bridge, a Unisco heritage home, and another stunning family heritage home as well. After, we had dinner at a wonderful restaurant by the river that runs through Hoi An. Xuan Tu and Lam were both amazing guides that my family and I were lucky to have along side us as we toured through this part of Vietnam. You are missing out if you don’t chose them to show you this beautiful country! — Traveller: TessB3 from Tripadvisor
