DA NANG 1/2 DAY TOUR
Xuan Tu is the best tour guide we have ever come across. We instantly felt comfortable with her and it was never awkward. We had a half day tour of Da Nang with two of our other friends. The last minute additions to our private tour was no hassle to her and she welcomed them warmly. We went by private car, which was very comfortable and were provided with water and cleansing wipes. The whole time we were informed of our local surroundings and lots of stories were told. We first visited a local fishing village at the north end of My Khe beach. We were informed of how the locals live their daily lives catching seafood, preparing it for sale and then taking it to the central market. We took photos here and she even had fun with us by getting on the back of a trailer and scooter for a photo. We then went to Ling Ung Pagoda on the cliffs of Son Thuy Mountain where Lady Buddha stands. She explained all the important facts and we even got to make a wish to the Lady Buddha shrine, which was really special. Lots of photos were taken and even some funny ones making it a laugh a minute. There is a beautiful view up on this mountain and so much to see. Next stop was Marble Mountain where another Pagoda is and very beautiful caves. There were special things in these caves that she showed us and would not have seen if we were on our own. I even got to make another wish to the Buddha with water. More photos were taken and the place was just magical. She even helped us barter with the shop keepers so we knew we were getting a good price on products. After this the tour was finished but she did offer to take us somewhere for lunch if we wanted to. She even offered to take us to train station to buy tickets as we needed them for the next day. Nothing was too hard for her and she was very accommodating. She clearly loves what she does, is very knowledgable and truely passionate about her local cities. As a bonus you also get a very keen photographer always wanting to take photos for you so you are in them. She speaks fluent English, is always smiling and laughing and has a great sense of humour. Genuine Vietnamese Cultural Experience
I searched Trip Advisor for Private Tours and found this page of positive reviews. I was looking forward to meeting Xuan Tu and for her to show me around Hoi An and Da Nang but unfortunately due to a personal emergency, she was unable to take me around. Alternatively, she did set me up with her colleague, Tommy, who was a great guide! For my half day Da Nang tour, Tommy took me around town and showed me the Marble Mountains and Lady Buddha. He also took me to some great local restaurants where everything was spot on. He also brought me to a great massage place as well. Da Nang was fun but in my opinion, Hoi An was the highlight of my visit. This was a full day tour where we started the day with a Banh Mi sandwich as the famous spot which Anthony Bourdain put on the map. Trust me, it’s really that good. Then, we toured around the organic gardens and the small surrounding villages meeting local carvers, weavers, and noodle makers. We finished the day walking the streets of the Old Town in Hoi where there are many shops and restaurants. I even got two custom 3 piece suits made for me within the day. Genuine Vietnamese experience. AMAZING!
XUÂN TÚ IS THE BEST!!! We were really lucky to have Xuân Tú herself along with her brother Lam to give us a 1-day tour of Da Nang, Hui An and My Son. We have enjoyed the Vietnamese coffee as much as the Vietnamese cuisine, visited Marble mountains, saw a an old Vietnamese house, the Japanese bridge, My Son, and the evening Hoi An with a boat ride and lanterns everywhere. Simply all we wanted to see and more. Shopping is totally optional unless you have specific things you want to buy then Xuân Tú and Lam will show you the way. For us, this is great as we can’t stand tour guides trying to sell you things. One thing that’s makes Xuân Tú the best at what she does is that she’s showing you Vietnam like a true Vietnamese friend. And therefore we have not only learned about Vietnam, but also about people here and made new friends. If you are a foodie, look no further, she knows the best places! All in all, it was a truly amazing day spent with Xuân Tú and Lam. 🙂 We didn’t feel like we were on a tour but simply just hanging out with friends. Thank you for everything guys!! Look no further!! Excellent, excellent private tour
Just did a one day Hoi An and My Son tour with Xuan Tu and Lam. Excellent, excellent private tour with this young, vibrant and energetic duo. Lots of laughter and jokes. We really enjoyed the trip. Driver Tu is very professional and ensure our safety in every leg of our transfers. Xuan Tu and Lam are very knowledgeable in every aspect. From what to eat in Hoi An and around Da Nang, to every detail of the ancient history of My Son. They even drove us back to Hoi An from My Son to have dinner. Look no further if you are looking for private tour in Da Nang, Hoi An etc. Did I mentioned they do tours in other parts of Vietnam too?
