More than just a guide…

My wife and I traveled around Central Vietnam with Xuan Tu in September this year for our baby moon. My wife was 6 months pregnant so we thought that it would be more convenient to go on private tours rather than join big tour groups. And getting Xuan Tu as our guide was surely the best decision we made for our trip. Having a private guide allowed us to be more flexible with our schedule.

We spent four days in total with Xuan Tu – a day in Da Nang, another day in Hoi An and two days going around Hue.

Xuan Tu has a very good command of English and is also very knowledgeable about the history behind and significance of the different sights. She is very good in helping one to understand Vietnamese culture. You can see that she is really proud of her heritage and culture.

Xuan Tu is very warm and thoughtful. We actually felt that we gained an instant friend right from the moment we met her during the first day of our tour. We definitely felt that we had more than just a guide traveling with us during our holiday. Her cheerful personality made the trip a lot more enjoyable.

If you want a personalised experience and to understand local history and culture better, do book with Xuan Tu and make the most out of your trip to Central Vietnam.

The best part of my trip…

When people ask me what the favorite thing was about SE Asia, my answer is Xuan Tu. And let me say, I loved EVERYTHING about my three-week trip to Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, and Vietnam. There are many wonderful things to say about Xuan Tu, but one thing I truly appreciated, aside from her lovely personality, was how adaptable she was to what I wanted to do and see in Hoi An. I told her that I loved food, and she took me and my friend on a culinary tour of the city and it’s market. We wanted to try cobra whiskey (don’t ask), and she found “the” place to have it. The wonderful thing is that not only do I have wonderful memories to attribute to Xuan Tu, but I also have a new friend. My rock-solid advice: USE HER!!!!

Best Guide Ever

“My son and I spent several weeks with Xuan Tu in Da Nang, Hoi An and traveling with motorbikes through central Vietnam last August 2013. We had an absolute ball. Xuan Tu is very professional and passionate about her country and culture. Her English is excellent and she has a lovely charm and very caring personality. Xuan Tu has become a close friend through our time together and I have no hesitation in recommending her as your personal guide. Her specialty is guiding single travelers or couples and family groups but never mixed with other clients. We chose this option over the conventional tour groups. We were delighted that we did this and for a price no dearer than crowded tour groups. Xuan Tu is scrupulously honest and refuses “commissions” from traders you may encounter or gives these back to you when they are passed to her hand. She will only refer you to reputable dealers. You will have the unique experiences only a local can give you” Eb Friedrich. Melbourne Australia.

Great Day in Hoi An

Xuan Tu was so lovely. She was recommended to us by our tour guide in Ho Chi Minh City. She picked us up from our hotel and organised a car to take us to the docks. From there we took the local boat to Cam Kim Island with Xuan Tu and Bing. We experienced the Island on motor bike. Whilst I was nervous, especially with our 3 year old on as well, Xuan Tu and Bing were amazing. They drove very safely and we got to experience some unique things such as feeding chickens with the 98 year old Grandma and making noodles. They were so lovely, that I asked them to take us out in the evening, which they willing obliged and took us to see the Japanese bridge and night market. I highly recommend Xuan Tu.
