Knowledgeable, Enthusiastic and Authentic
It was really fun to let Xuan Tu bring us around in a private car with driver for half day in Da Nang where she took us for some lovely local food that was excellent and super cheap! She was truly knowledgeable and made effort to show us spots that were off the tourist track, which we really appreciate. It was like being taken for a tour with our own local friend. Her enthusiasm won us over and we enjoyed our trip with her very much. — Traveller: Cyndanai from Tripadvisor
Private Tour
We have arranged a private tour with Xuan Tu to visit My Son and Danang City in Vietnam for a day. The tourist guide was Anthony and he had a wealth of experience in tourism, having worked in Furama resort and Intercontinental Hotel in Danang. He had an excellent command of English and the Cham culture as well as Vietnamese way of life. He was also accommodative and made good suggestions depending on our needs. He took us to experience the local culture including PHO noodle soup, the Long Coffee shop as well as Han market. My wife and I had an excellent day. The driver was also very nice and drive safely throughout. We would strongly recommend Anthony and his company Xuan Tu to our relatives and friends in Hong Kong if they wish to take holiday in the beautiful city of Danang. — Traveller: raymondgwee from Tripadvisor
The happiest day of the trip with Xuan Tu
I can say that the happiest day of this trip is the day tour with Xuan Tu!! We joined the tour of Marble Mountain and My Son valley. She can tell you a lot of history of Vietnam which we were so impressed. She is so sweet and friendly. Moreover, she is a professional photographer that she can take a lot of good photos for you. We are so happy to become friend with her and I promised her I will bring her around in HK when she come visit. Let Xuan Tu be your tour guide and she will tell you where you can find the tasty local foods if you are a foodie~ My boyfriend and I are so thankful to have Xuan Tu be our guide and trust me…You won’t be regret to let her be your tour guide!!!! — Traveller: CherryT75 from Tripadvisor
Tailor-made with humour and passion
We got in touch with Xuan Tu after a recommendation from another tour group. How right they were! I emailed Xuan Tu about putting together a tour for us that had a bit of everything: some off the beaten track bits and some of the more touristy bits; and she did I with aplomb! She did warn us that it would be a pretty full-on day, but both her and Lam’s energy kept us going even when we were dripping with sweat on the Marble Mountain! They met us at our hotel and first took us for “the best Vietnamese baguette” where we sat and chatted and got to know each other and I have to admit, the baguette was amazing. We then headed for Cam Kim island and met some incredible local people, drank sugarcane, “helped” (though I’m not sure how much help we actually were) make rice paper noodles and sleeping mats and visited the local boat yard and wood carving centre. From there we headed into Hoi An, drank tea and cooled down a bit, then off the Marble Mountain, Lady Buddha and into Da Nang for dinner from two local restaurants. And at the end of all that, Xuan Tu and Lam were both happy to go on, do more and show us more but we were totally exhausted! With Xuan Tu and Lam we felt like we’d met with friends for a day out. They’re so lovely and accommodating, highly energetic and a pair of comedians who even make the car journeys entertaining! I can’t recommend Xuan Tu highly enough. You get a guide who will happily go the extra mile to give you the trip you really want and will end up feeling like someone you’ve known your whole life! — Traveller: Lucy H from Tripadvisor
DA NANG 1/2 DAY TOUR
Xuan Tu is the best tour guide we have ever come across. We instantly felt comfortable with her and it was never awkward. We had a half day tour of Da Nang with two of our other friends. The last minute additions to our private tour was no hassle to her and she welcomed them warmly. We went by private car, which was very comfortable and were provided with water and cleansing wipes. The whole time we were informed of our local surroundings and lots of stories were told. We first visited a local fishing village at the north end of My Khe beach. We were informed of how the locals live their daily lives catching seafood, preparing it for sale and then taking it to the central market. We took photos here and she even had fun with us by getting on the back of a trailer and scooter for a photo. We then went to Ling Ung Pagoda on the cliffs of Son Thuy Mountain where Lady Buddha stands. She explained all the important facts and we even got to make a wish to the Lady Buddha shrine, which was really special. Lots of photos were taken and even some funny ones making it a laugh a minute. There is a beautiful view up on this mountain and so much to see. Next stop was Marble Mountain where another Pagoda is and very beautiful caves. There were special things in these caves that she showed us and would not have seen if we were on our own. I even got to make another wish to the Buddha with water. More photos were taken and the place was just magical. She even helped us barter with the shop keepers so we knew we were getting a good price on products. After this the tour was finished but she did offer to take us somewhere for lunch if we wanted to. She even offered to take us to train station to buy tickets as we needed them for the next day. Nothing was too hard for her and she was very accommodating. She clearly loves what she does, is very knowledgable and truely passionate about her local cities. As a bonus you also get a very keen photographer always wanting to take photos for you so you are in them. She speaks fluent English, is always smiling and laughing and has a great sense of humour. We can’t rate her highly enough and if there was a 6 Star she would certainly get it. She definitely deserves to be the number 1 guide on trip advisor! — Traveller: Ali H from Tripadvisor
