Beautiful and fun-filled time with Tràm
What an unexpectedly fun time touring Hoi An with Tràm. I’ve been traveling Southeast Asia solo for 5 weeks and was looking for a good 1-day tour of Hoi An – so glad I found this group! Tràm is super sweet, full of energy, and quite knowledgeable about the surrounding area. Her English is very good and she even helped me out with my Vietnamese lessons as well. Thankfully the tour didn’t start too early, more around 10:30AM. I was picked up from my hotel in Da Nang and we rode via motorbike south to Hoi An. I highly recommend the motorbike ride – there are beautiful views and the wind whipping past you feels quite good. Late morning and midday we visited an island where carpenters and farmers live and work. We saw ships being built, how rice paper is made, and the production of sleeping mats – I was even invited to participate in the last two activities which was quite a learning experience. Tràm showed me a fantastic lunch spot and afterwards we took a ferry back to Hoi An to see the ancient town. We visited gathering spots, the Japanese bridge, old houses, and even shopped a little. Tràm was super flexible and went whichever direction I wanted to go. She was also full of knowledge about the history, building architecture, and symbolism found throughout Hoi An. We relaxed with some coffee after visiting a shop with an aerial view, and after the sun set we strolled through new and old town, snapping pictures of lanterns and trying some of the local food (Vietnamese ‘pizza’ is a first for me!). Our time together wound down and we left around 7:15 to return to my hotel in Da Nang. Although it was a 30-40 minute ride, Tràm has a love of singing like myself, so we belted out a few pop and Disney tunes at the top of our lungs which turned out to be a highlight of the day. Thanks, Tràm, for such a great time. Or as you taught me to say, Cám ơn rất nhiều! — Traveller: Matthew C from Tripadvisor
Great time with Tram and Thuy
We did a Da Nang Day tour with Tram and Thuy from Hoi An. Both of them are very professional. They speak very good English. Tram even can speak Chinese. They explained everything in details. We had a lot of fun with the girls during the tour. BTW, when I indicated during reservation that my friend and I got injury of our knees, I just said that we would like to avoid stairs. I don’t expect they would arrange 2 tour guides to take care of us. It’s really out of our surprise. We really appreciate that. Thanks so much! — Traveller: WallisCW from Tripadvisor
Highly recommended personalized tour
Our family of five (2 adults and 3 primary school aged children) spent an amazing day with our guide Lam touring Hoi An. We all loved the whole day, and the informal and flexible set up meant that the children could rest when it was hot and we weren’t kept to a strict schedule. Lam was very attentive to the children (who adored him) and they loved learning many new Vietnamese words and phrases. There was lots of opportunity to observe and learn about traditional Vietnamese trades and life for rural families, and we also learned a lot about Vietnamese history and tried some amazing foods. Ten out of ten, we are very grateful for the opportunity to experience Hoi An with Lam. Looking forward to our tour of Da Nang in a few days! — Traveller: Melanie B from Tripadvisor
Amazing Tour Guides!
My wife and I had two guides take us to the Lady Buddha pagoda, Da Nang, Marble Mountain, and My Son. They spoke excellent English and were very entertaining. They were patient and took beautiful pictures of us. They had great suggestions for lunch and coffee stops. I highly recommend for anyone visiting Hoi An or Da Nang. — Traveller: gpmacdonald1979 from Tripadvisor
Great guide with amazing service
I booked a private guide over 2 days – a half day tour around Da Nang and a full day tour in Hoi An. Lam was my guide for the 2 days and as we both shared a love of food, he was very accommodating and flexible to alter our tour to include stops at his personal favourite food stalls. If you are traveling solo, sight seeing on motorbike is the best way to go. The tours were well planned and I especially loved visiting the tour on Cam Kim island, in Hoi An, particularly visiting the family that made rice paper and rice noodles. It was such a privilege to visit a traditional Vietnamese home. Lam was very thoughtful throughout our travels, carrying my shopping, offering water, making sure I was safe while climbing up and down the caves in Marble Mountain. He is passionate about his job and I would recommend Lam in a heartbeat to anyone visiting Da Nang. — Traveller: Lulub81 from Tripadvisor
