I booked a private guide over 2 days – a half day tour around Da Nang and a full day tour in Hoi An. Lam was my guide for the 2 days and as we both shared a love of food, he was very accommodating and flexible to alter our tour to include stops at his personal favourite food stalls. If you are traveling solo, sight seeing on motorbike is the best way to go.
The tours were well planned and I especially loved visiting the tour on Cam Kim island, in Hoi An, particularly visiting the family that made rice paper and rice noodles. It was such a privilege to visit a traditional Vietnamese home.
Lam was very thoughtful throughout our travels, carrying my shopping, offering water, making sure I was safe while climbing up and down the caves in Marble Mountain. He is passionate about his job and I would recommend Lam in a heartbeat to anyone visiting Da Nang.
