A Must!!!!! You want to adopt her as your sister/daughter/cousin when you’re done! She’s the best!

Talk about a fantastic day in Hoi An. We emailed a couple weeks before our trip to Vietnam. We was extremely fast in her responses and presented an itinerary right away as a starting point. The moment she picked us up at our Hotel in Hoi An with a driver she charmed us with her knowledge and love for what she does. She speaks excellent English as she spent a year in university in Australia. We started with a bicycle tour across Hoi An to a small island where we saw the old art of boat building. We then continued on the island to the local temple where we met the eldest member. Very interesting and great history of the island. We continued onto a local family who makes rice paper and rice noodles out of their house. This was amazing. We really had a great time here and learned a lot of this families work ethic and local culture. We got to sample after over some iced tea and it was delicious. After we returned to Hoi An for some lunch. She bought us to a local food vender who had fantastic friend wontons (Hoanh Thanh) Cao Loa, Banh vac (White Rose). @ Mr Son. Absolutely delicious. She was so knowledgeable of the people and the area. You felt like you were in the best history class ever with food! We continued walking through Hoi An and learned about the Chinese and Japanese influence on this great port throughout the last 200 years. Amazing how Hoi An was such a melting pot and large trading post over the years. There are lovely shops and so many great food places. We continued walking through and she brought us to the best Banh Mi sandwich location in Hoi An which was featured on “No Reservations w/ Anthony Bourdain” – Yes they were amazing. We continued around and didn’t return back to our hotel until about 730pm at night. Xuan was fantastic. My wife loved her and we cant say enough nice things about her. Highly recommend her if you wish to have a great day in Hoi An. We would do it again in a heart beat next time we are in Hoi An. We had a blast!! — Traveller: rossr388 from Tripadvisor

Here’s to Xuantu!

In January 2015 our small party of three friends, all of us older women, toured Hoi An and My Son with Xuan Tu. As others have already observed, Xuan Tu is, indeed, an extraordinary young woman. Besides her knowledge, energy, and profound love for Vietnam and its people, Xuan Tu shared her own story with us. We may not remember all the details in the wealth of information she imparted, but we will never forget Xuantu, her big heart, and her open mind and spirit. — Traveller: Esta G from Tripadvisor

Insightful, patient, accommodating.

Xuan Tu is an amazing young lady. We were a party 4 with ages between 5 to 75 and did two trips with her. Honestly without her I would not have been able to manage the different needs of our group. Having done private tours in other places/ countries I can safely say that she is the best I have come across. Dependable, honest, patient & accommodating. Our first trip was to Cam kim island & the Hoi An Ancient town. Her local insights and recommendations for souvenirs & food were excellent and of good value. We thoroughly enjoyed her company and tasted very authentic local food. We saw a side of Hoi An that we would have not seen with the usual generic tours. Our other trip with a van ( and a kind driver) was to Danang. Again she brought us to tasty local eats apart from visiting the usual spots. I really enjoyed the down time we had on the Eastern beach where we just chatted about life while my 5 year old played with sand. It’s rare to make friends with your tour guide. We had the best time. Thank you Xuan Tu. — Traveller: Mae1409 from Tripadvisor

Wonderful Experience in Hoi An

Based on reviews on Tripadvisor, I contacted Xuan Tu by email to enquire of her services to show us the sights around Hoi An. She was very prompt in responding and after discussing options, my adult son, daughter and I opted for a motorcycle tour from Hoi An to My Son, Da Nang and back. The second day was a half day tour, by bicycle, of an island close to Hoi An. Both tours were fantastic. On the first day, the motorcycle tour, we toured the ruins of My Son as well as visiting local family businesses. Unfortunately, it started to rain towards the end of the day but the riders were prepared by having rainsuits for us. On the bicycle tour, we were welcomed into a family home to watch them make rice pancakes that they sold for a living and we were allowed to try our hand at making some. The meals, the venues – everything was properly prepared for us. Xuan Tu is very knowledgeable, knows the people well and is well prepared to look after your needs. We do not hesitate to recommend her services to anybody visiting Da Nang and Hoi An. — Traveller: Coqcruiser from Tripadvisor

Xuan Tu, our new BestFriendForever

We contacted Xuan Tu (pronounced Song Two) based on feedback from this website – my husband, daughter & I booked her for a 1-day tour of MySon followed by a cycling tour around Cam Kim Island to see the “real thing” on December 27, 2014. Xuan Tu was very responsive in our earlier email exchanges and able to tailor the program to our requirements. We were picked up from our hotel and immediately felt very comfortable with her, like meeting an old friend. Like the rest of the reviewers, we thoroughly enjoyed our time with her – she is very proud of her heritage and her passion for her job & her country shines through. At the 2 eating places she brought us to (Mr Son & Morning Glory), it felt like being taken out for a meal by an old friend. We thoroughly enjoyed her recommendations. So, if you want to see Danang, Hoi An or wherever and feel like you’re being shown around by an old friend, I highly recommend going with Xuan Tu – you will be guaranteed of a great & fun time. — Traveller: MWLing from Tripadvisor
