Two Thumbs up for Tommy !
I first visited Hoi An in Feb 2014 where I used the services of Xuan Tu and had such a marvelous time. She was superb. Fast forward to December, I decided to make a last minute decision to visit again. I decided to use her again for a day trip to Danang as it was a 1st visit for some of my family members. Xuan Tu herself was unable to be my guide (as she was already booked), so she recommended Tommy who was another guide on her team. Tommy was really good. He spoke good English. He was very kind, thoughtful and enthusiastic. He paid attention to the little things from giving us handwipes/ hand steriliser before our meals to writing down our names, food orders etc. He was very funny too with a great sense of humour and our family of 7 really enjoyed his company. He had great knowledge of the different sites we visited and was very flexible with the itinerary. Together with the driver, we had a great team that ensured a good experience for us. On the day of my departure fr Hoi An, Tommy dropped of some souvenirs on behalf of the company which was a really lovely gesture. I also found out that Tommy was the guide for my sis in law (who visited in Aug )and and my friend (who visited in mid Dec). Both told me that they really enjoyed having Tommy as a guide and liked how thoughtful and energetic he was. Thanks for such a memorable time Tommy and Xuan Tu. Amazing Day with Xuan Tu @ My Son Sanctuary, Hoi An Old Town & Cam Kim Island
We contacted Xuan Tu based on the wonderful feedback on tripadvisor and we must say she delivers as stated and more! She is full of energy and very passionate at what she does. She was not only our guide and our photographer, but also a little sister on our girls’ trip! We have always preferred to plan our own itinerary but decided to take it easy for this short getaway to Danang. Xuan Tu was very responsive from the initial email contact, and took on the challenge to show us everything we wanted to see in one full day tour (so we can just spa and relax for the rest of our stay!). Our wonderful day started with Xuan Tu meeting us at our hotel lobby, followed by car ride to My Son Sanctuary. She briefed us on the history and livelihood of her hometown along the way and stopped to get us ponchos in the pouring rain. She was very knowledgeable on explaining the history and culture on each sites we visited and took amazing photos for us! Lunch at Mr Son was delicious and we tried nearly everything on the menu! The highlight of the trip was making our way to Cam Kim Island on a local sampan, and cycling through the island to visit a few local businesses and families. We love working with kids and locals, and is great to see the heart of Xuan Tu in helping the local community in additional to strive for her own dream! The sunset view from the island was lovely and we arrived back to Hoi An Old Town for our evening stroll through the lantern lit streets. She offered us various options for dinner and we opted for the best Banh Mi before we call it a day. In addition to showing us around for our day tour she gave us additional information on where to visit on our own and where to get the souvenirs we wanted. It was a very short trip and we were only able to see everything because of Xuan Tu. Thanks for the amazing day and we look forward to visiting you home town again soon! All the best in the New Year! — Traveller: TSinSG from Tripadvisor
Xuan Tu Vietnam Tours very exciting
We had a private tour with Xuan Tu. She picked us up from our Seabourn cruise ship at the port. We went Camkim island from Hoi An and enjoyed a fun bike tour of the island visiting a family who made rice paper. We got to try making it to and enjoyed tasting it with the 2 ladies of the house. Then we went to a weaver and helped make a mat and play with their puppy. Finally an Excellent Vietnamese lunch at Morning Glory restaurant in Hoi An and excellent shopping. Xuan Tu spoke perfect English and took us to some amazing places. Really recommend her as a guide if you are visiting this area. — Traveller: AdamiteCA from Tripadvisor
Fun, Knowledgeable & Friendly Guide
My 2 girlfriends and I had an awesome day with this petite lady with a huge heart. She is just like one of our girlfriend and had fun while exploring My Son and Hoi An. She is very knowledgeable and experienced guide. Highly recommended to anyone who wish to visit Danang. — Traveller: Azian A from Tripadvisor
Fun and interesting day out with super friendly guide
This tour is one of the best guided cycle+walking tours I have had in SEAsia. Our guide Tommy was fun to be with, took us to places we had never found on our own (I loved the public ferry ride) and explained lots of stuff about how people live and pray, about traditions and customs. We first discovered Moc Kim island off Hoi An to cycle around, watch farmers, local handymen and food production and then walked around Hoi An itself. We learned about Hoi An’s history without being stuffed with historical data and ended the day feeling that we certainly want to come back. — Traveller: Silke101065 from Tripadvisor
