Fantastic tours with Lam
We enjoyed two private tours with our tour guide Lam – an evening food tour in Da Nang and a day tour around Hoi An. Both tours were excellent. Lam went out of his way to ensure the tours were personalised for us and nothing was too much trouble. He even customised the food tour for a fussy vegetarian! We tried foods and saw parts of Vietnamese life/culture that we wouldn’t have seen otherwise. Lam speaks excellent English, he is very friendly, knowledgeable and good fun. Thank you Xuan Tu for a memorable day !
I do not normally do reviews but I had to do one for this trip. When the four of us were picked up on time by Xuan Tu from our cruise ship port we could not anticipate what a special day this was going to be. Xuan Tu who speaks perfect English is most delightful, enthusiastic and also her knowledge of her country and city was amazing. Her passion for Vietnam and Da Nang was remarkable ! She was a delight to be with for the day and she really gave us the full flavour of what it was like to live in Da Nang and Hoi An. We went to places where I am sure most tourist trips do not go. (In particular those off Cruise Ships the feedback of which was not so good and very expensive!) We stopped in Da Nang for coffee first before moving on to the delightful town of Hoi An, a place of so much character. When it rained Xuan Tu immediately bought us all ponchos so we would not get wet. Fortunately the rain did not last long ! Had a lovely lunch in a locals street cafe with Xuan Tu, recommended by her as she knew the husband and wife running it and only £20 for the five of us including drinks ! We went from Hoi An to see Marble Mountain and also the Lady Buddha Statue. Xuan Tu was absolutely full of interesting information everywhere we went and she passed it on with so much passion. It was a joy to see. Once again thank you Xuan Tu for a day we will never forget and becoming a new friend not just a tour guide. Friendly and professional guide
My wife and I spent an amazing day with our wonderful guide Quan. Prior to our visit to Hoi An I had a very easy and prompt communication with Xuan (manager) to tailor the tour to our interests. From the moment we were picked up from the hotel to the late evening drop off at the hotel we felt as being in a good company of a caring friend. We enjoyed 10+ hours of site visits and breaks in between with our guide Quan and a driver who did a great job as well. Quan’s English was excellent, he was very knowledgeable, treated us like his dear friends and was very professional at the same time. Nothing seemed too much for him and he did it sincerely and with genuine smile on his face. Best introduction to Hoi An food and history
I found Danang Hoi An Tours from a random google search for Hoi An food tours, and I was not disappointed. A private car and my tourguides Tommy and … picked me up from My homestay in Danang to take me to Hoi An. Tommy is a Hoi An local, and he was a wealth of information. Along the way he told me about different things as we passed, about tourism in the area, and small tidbits that you’d never find in a guide book. We checked out Tommy’s favourite local spots for coffee, lunch, and dessert in between visiting historical sites in old town. He even showed me a local lantern making shop and recommended a good tailor. After my tour the car picked us up again and drove me to my next homestay near the beach. I had a super fun day hanging out my guides. Even in the rain! And I had Cau Lau noodles three more times while I was in Hoi An. Soo yummy 😉 — Traveller: Randi S from Tripadvisor
Great day spent with Lam
After reading all the recommendations about Hoi An Private Tour Guide, I booked a tour with Lam and had an amazing day. Lam is very knowledgeable and fun to be with! We went to Cam Kim Island to experience the local culture and went out of his way so that I can take amazing pictures since my passion is photography.
