Great tour with Tommy
Tommy gave us a great tour of Hoi An and the surrounding villages. Hoi An was our third city in Vietnam on this trip, having come from Hanoi and Hue. Both these cities have numerous major attractions. By comparison Hoi An is a smaller town, where you get a better chance to see and understand life in Vietnam. Tommy was a great guide for this type of tour. His family has lived here for many generations and he is clearly very proud of his city and its heritage. We used a private boat for the morning portion of the tour and visited a boat building and fine carpentry workshops in one village, then had a chance to visit two families in another village where we made rice paper and helped build cane sleeping mats. Tommy had developed relationships with these families while doing community outreach when he was in school and it shows – they treat him like a true friend of the family and that enthusiasm shows in how they welcomed us as guests. Later, after a great lunch in an off the beaten path restaurant, we toured the town of Hoi An, visited temples, the Japanese covered bridge, and some older homes in the town. Tommy knows his history and brought some of the places to life by using some very creative exhibits on his smartphone. We cannot recommend Tommy and Xuantu highly enough. Just back to our hotel after a fantastic afternoon with Xuân Tú. A couple of months ago my I contacted Xuân Tú to see if she could help my wife and I with a tour around some of the sights of DaNang. We had a free Saturday before we left the area to head to Hanoi and Xuân Tú happily recommended the key sights and adjusted the timeframes to suit us. All was arranged via email, with very prompt and detailed answers. Xuân Tú was also happy for us to pay on the day, no deposit needed. We were met early at our hotel in Hoi An and immediately felt comfortable with Xuân Tú. Her English is superb, she is funny, knowledgeable and absolutely “down to earth”…. she is very quickly just like a friend spending the afternoon with you. We took in the Marble Mountains, great coffee, off the track food (which was excellent), a *very* local market, Lady Buddha and some of the lights and sights of DaNang at night. Fantastic Hoi An and Da Nang Private Tour
Was in doubts about going to Vietnam but the whole tour had been above expectations. After spending a few days in Hanoi and around did finally arrive to Da Nang. Was picked up from the airport by Xuan Tu and her lovely team from Da Nang and Hoi An Private Tour Guide and taken around Da Nang, to see beautiful Lady Buddha finishing with fantastic welcome drinks. Very friendly, easy going, knowledgable service. I would call it a tour guide with a personal touch because you feel like you being guided by the friend. The following day we went to Hoi An and visited Marble Mountain on the way there. It was nice and peaceful wandering throughout the streets of the ancient city protected by Unesco as a World heritage site. And was lovely to have a ride to Hoi An beach to have a swim on a hot day and a cold drink by the beach afterwards. Xuan Tu also recommended and arranged a fantastic cooking class for me in Tra Que Vegetable Village which I highly recommend. Next day was a day for me to leave this lovely city and Xuan Tu assisted to pick and book a hotel near Hanoi Airport cause I was leaving on an early flight to Hong Kong and it was done in a matter of a few minutes. It made me feel like I was looked after by a friend which is really nice. Anthony is awesome
We did 4 tours with Xuan Tu, 1 in Hanoi, and 3 in Da Nang and all of then were excellent. We had 3 different guides for the 4 tours, but by far my most favorite guide was Anthony. He was polite, punctual, knowledgeable, and spoke English very well (all the guides did). We did 2 tours with Anthony in Da Nang, one to Hoi an and one to the Cham museum and My Son. Perfektion auf der ganzen Linie!!
Wir haben uns schon vor unserer Reise nach Vietnam über den passenden Tourguide viele Gedanken gemacht. Wenn man auf der Suche nach exzellentem Service, Sicherheit, Spaßfaktor, einer individuellen Tour mit tollen Menschen ist, kommt man nach kurzer Recherche im Internet bei der Stadt Da Nang immer wieder zu der Homepage von der einzigartigen Person xuan tu. Auch die Bewertungen auf tripadvisor sind unglaublich mit tollen Reiseberichten und Fotos von anderen Touristen. Unser fantastischer Tag hat nach einem kurzen Frühstück im Hotel und einem anstrengenden Vortag mit Anreise von Hanoi begonnen. Noch etwas müde sind wir in einem sehr modernen SUV und zwei reizenden jungen Menschen vom Hotel um 9:30h abgeholt worden, sie kamen ganz pünktlich wie vereinbart. Man hat von der ersten Minute das Gefühl dass man mit Freunden unterwegs ist. Der Ablauf der Tour: Es gibt ein vorab festgelegtes Programm, das jedoch sehr variabel sein kann, was für uns als Individualtouristen in Vietnam echten Luxus bedeutet. Alle Stationen wurden mit ausreichend Zeit geplant, so dass man in Ruhe seine Fotos machen kann und eine Menge an Informationen bekommt über die Geschichte, die Religion, die Kultur und über ein Land mit seinen reizenden Menschen. Während der Tour ist Wasser an Board inkludiert , gegen den Hunger wird oft angehalten um gemeinsam die ausgezeichnete original vietnamesischen Küche in gut ausgesuchten Restaurants genießen zu können. Es ist angenehm dass man die Tour ohne seiner Geldbörse im Gepäck machen , alles bereits inkludiert ist und man sich nicht über schlechte Wechselkurse ärgern muss oder die Gefahr hat sein Geld zu verlieren. Bei Tisch erlebt man bei einer Vielzahl an lustigen selfies auch viel über die Zubereitung von Gerichten und erfährt viel über die Kultur des Landes. Es ist eigentlich eine Kombination aus Sightseeingtour und foodtour. Xuan tu: Eine erst 22 jährige junge Dame mit einer unglaublich sympathischen und offen Art die genau weiß wie man eine individuelle Tour nach den Bedürfnissen der Kunden plant, ohne dass es langweil oder nervig wird oder man jemals das Gefühl hat dass es an irgendetwas fehlen würde. Es sei gesagt, dass sie als Jungunternehmern beachtliches geleistet hat und mittlerweile fünf Mitarbeiter angestellt hat und eine ausgezeichnete Geschäftsfrau die viel von ihrem Business versteht, ohne wie leider oft üblich dabei dollar in den Augen zu haben. Wer gerne singt ist bei diesen Tourguides an der richtigen Stelle, Karaoke ist während der Fahrt möglich :-), es war so lustig:-D, neben viel Talent auch eine Menge Spaß. Für uns war der Tag ein einzigartiges Erlebnis und wir sind froh zwei so tolle Menschen hier in Vietnam kennengelernt zu haben. Die Tour hat 6 Sterne verdient, leider gibt es auf tripadvisor nur fünf;-)wir wünschen allen die ebenfalls diese Tour buchen jetzt schon viel Spaß und guten Appetit!!!:-) — Traveller: Sascha1985 from Tripadvisor
