We 5 had a wonderful day in Da Nang and Ho Ang with Lam and his driver Mr Vi. They arrived on time on the pier next to our cruise ship while the other passengers were still waiting to board their mega-busses. Sun World was much better than expected, especially the cable car and funicular rides. Lam was always eager to take photos of us, which made for more memories. He took us to lunch in the banh my store made famous by Anthony Bourdaine. He helped us navigate the menu, then negotiated great prices at local hat, bag, and lantern stalls. In the end, we saw and did so much in 10 hours, and laughed so hard our stomachs hurt. One tip: Ask him about SIM card deals. — Traveller: DScotty from Tripadvisor
Sensational tour. Ask for Lam
Our family of five (all adults)had a day long private van tour of DaNang and it was one of the best destination tours we’ve ever had in our many travels. Thanks for that goes to our guide Lam who was smart, responsive to our needs, knowledgeable on every question we threw at him, and a pleasure to spend time with. This tour company believes in supporting the community and introducing you to real people and real experiences. From morning coffee at a street shop to bargaining in the market to dinner at a baguette shop…we enjoyed a slice of real life in Vietnam. Passionate guide to explore Danang , Hoi An and Hue
My wife and I traveled to Da Nang with my 2 kids last week and we went on a private tour with Xuan Tu. We had 2 guides, Lam and “Teacher” Xinh, and they both were excellent guides who took really good care of my family for the 4 days with them. They were very knowledgeable and were able to guide us around at our own pace (That is the beauty of a private tour). They brought us to places where we were able to experience the life of local Vietnamese, unlike other tours that visit touristy places of interests. They both speak good English and that eliminated any communication barriers while we were traveling together. They were able to bridge us with the locals and helped in bargaining while we were doing our shopping. They made the adults feel comfortable all the time and both my children found them fun and engaging. Special Thanks to : Xuan Tu for making all arrangements including some last-minute ones to accommodate our family traveling plan. Lam for delivering his “special touch” throughout the trip which include a surprise sending off on our day of departure. Xinh (aka Teacher) for always making us feel comfortable and doing all she could to ensure the children are happy and safe. On a very short notice early in the morning we decided to go for a tour from Da Nang to Hoi An. Two hours later our lively guide Lam picked us up at the hotel and we headed to Hoi An. On the way he explained us all about the area, the people, the history, food and whatever we wanted to know in perfect English. It is always a challenge to go on a tour with a 2 and a one year aold child but Lam managed perfectly to accommodate our wishes and needs.
