Brilliant tour with Tram
We loved our tour with Tram. We started with a wonderful view over Danang next to the lady Buddha (who wasn’t a lady), condensed milk coffee at Danang’s oldest coffee shop, a trip to Marble Mountains and seeing the Champa Kingdom monuments (pre-dates Buddhism in Vietnam) and then a fab lunch of crispy pancakes at Bà Duõng restaurant. But we weren’t finished there – in the afternoon we carried on to Hoi An and the ancient town. Seeing the sun set in the city was glorious with all the street lanterns. We also visited the Chinese ancestral hall to the God of the Sea and an original home. Thank you for making our weekend in Vietnam so memorable – Xuan Tu Tours were brilliant every step of the way. We will be back to use you again. Totally recommended. — Traveller: barbiegirl444 from Tripadvisor
A day in Hoi An and Surrounds
What a wonderful, busy day we had on our private tour to Hoi An with Xinh and driver Chut. Arranging the Tour through Xuan Tours was no problem, all questions were answered quickly and professional and we were kept in touch about who our driver and guide would be for the day. Nothing was a problem. We were picked up at the ship and whisked away in a lovely air-conditioned car. Our first stop off was at the beach in Da Nang, it was early which explained why there was no-one at the beach, but it was a lovely beach. Then through the countryside past the, rice fields and Marble Mountains and on to Hoi An where we took a boat with Mr Lang across to Cam Kim Island where we were treated to life in a village. First we visited the boat builders, all this work is done by hand mainly by older men as the younger generation do not want to do the heavy work anymore. Then it was on to woodcarvers, next we visited a place where young people were apprentices learning the local crafts/skill so that the skills wouldn’t be forgotten and the young people had employment. Rice paper crackers/noodles were next on the agenda followed by reed mats which we tried our hand at. The daughter of the lady who made the reed mats arrived home from school and came with us for the rest of the day, It was such a delight to have her with us, she was brushing up on her english. Then it was back on the boat to Hoi An, I couldn’t possibly write about all the places we visited in Hoi An, Lunch at Mr So’n was excellent, Ancient Houses, Temples, River Walk, coffee, Japanese bridge , shopping for Silver Jewellery, we packed so much into the day and arrived back with 10 minutes to spare before it was all aboard. I couldn’t recommend this tour highly enough. Really enjoyed the mangosteens Xinh. Thanks to all. — Traveller: SouthernhighlandsAB from Tripadvisor
Wonderful Experience
My boyfriend and I booked a private, full day tour of Da Nang and Hoi An. Our tour guide and driver picked us up from our resort on time and with smiling faces to greet us. The tour guides’ name was Lam and he spoke great English! We were taken around to all of the places outlined on the itinerary, but Lam mentioned the schedule was flexible and if we wanted to see anything else(within the city boundaries of our tour), all we needed to do was mention it and they could accommodate. It was a fantastic experience for us. We very much enjoyed Lam’s historical knowledge of the area, his assistance when negotiating for a lower price, his sense of humour, and his interest in where we came from. He also knew where to take the best pictures and was our personal photographer!! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this tour to anyone, especially with Lam, since he was the one who made this experience so special for us! — Traveller: CaraS742 from Tripadvisor
50/50 tour
Highly recommend not skipping Da Nang. Lam was our guide and he was amazing! He felt like an old friend. He introduced us to all his favourite food, and in Vietnam the food is one of the best parts. It was a long day so make sure you wear your walking shoes. If you’re not sure, just book it. You wont be disappointed. — Traveller: Steven R from Tripadvisor
