Lam saves the day!!
We booked this tour direct with Xuân Tú back in January and it was the only thing in our entire itinerary that didn’t go smoothly. On the morning of the tour there was no guide waiting at reception so the resort kindly phoned to find out what had gone wrong. For whatever reason, despite exchanging several emails in the intervening months, our tour had not been booked. Xuân Tú apologised immediately and offered to get us our guide within an hour. So not the best of starts but we had booked to see the Marble Mountain and My Son and we decided it would be worth the wait – and it was. We had the pleasure of Lam’s company for the day and what a treat that was. Lam’s English is excellent but he was always checking his pronunciation and spelling. He was engaging with a good sense of humour and made us feel like VIPs for the whole day. If you get this guy as your guide you have done well – he’s also a pretty good photographer! The tour also included the Lady Buddha statue and pagoda. Lam ensured the driver was waiting for us at every opportunity with the air-con on and a cold bottle of water as it was a very hot day. Lunch was at a local Vietnamese restaurant where Lam showed us how to eat Banh Xeo pancakes. This was not a tourist trap and the food was excellent and ridiculously cheap. At the end of the day Lam treated us to a beer and Banh Mi at Banh Mi Phuong – a very busy and popular restaurant – and his inside knowledge allowed us to skip the very lengthy queue. Personal private tour of Danang and Bana Hills with Lam. Lam and the tour made our trip a highlight of our 3 weeks in SE
This was a private tour with Lam and our family. Immediately Lam knew all our names and began to personalize the tour and make our family comfortable and excited to take a tour with him. We visited Danang including Monkey Mountain and Marble Mountain with its spectacular caves and temple and tunnels. The afternoon was a visit to Bana Hills and Golden bridge which we found to be so enjoyable and interesting. While touring Lam shared a lot about Vietnamese culture and history and made it so fun with his warm and often humerous style. Cam Kim Island and My Son sanctuary- Full Day Private Tour
Of our 3 weeks in Asia this tour delighted our family. We took an all day tour which included biking through rice patties and a boat ride to Cam Island. It was so much more than seeing sights, though we did see alot. Xuân Tú (pronounced ‘Soong To’) gave us an authentic experience an presented the human side of Hoi An and the surroundings and the people. She was also very knowedgable and gave us the background needed to appreciate My Son. She was very warm and personable and made shore our family enjoyed the day. She started this tour company and created a gem as we also were thrilled with the other guide, Lam who took us on another full day tour.
