A kindred spirit…
My friend and I found a kindred spirit in Xuan Tu. She was as crazy and fun loving as we were. We didn’t have a dull moment at all during our visit to Hoi An. She picked us up from our hotel at Da Nang with a driver, Binh. Binh is an efficient driver and I so love the selection of English songs he has in his car. Xuan Tu, who also goes by the name of Passion Cookie is indeed very knowledgeable about the places we visited and I do highly recommended her to anyone who wishes for a tour guide at Da Nang/ Hoi An and its surrounding areas. Passion Cookie is awesome – authentic Vietnam tour
Xuan Tu (aka Passion Cookie) is a fantastic tour guide. We are a family of 4 and Xuan Tu made a real effort with my 2 daughters – they absolutely loved her. Add to that her in depth knowledge of the region and the fact that she has sorted out the best attractions to showcase and result was a fantastic albeit exhausting day. The highlight was the bicycle tour of Cam Kim Island and the family who we spent an hour with. We got to see a Vietnamese lifestyle unchanged for 50 years. Girls hand made noodles and feed chickens. The owner of house was a divine 95 year old. Our lunch, albeit a little late in day, was a place that tourists wouldn’t find and was of course superb Vietnamese food. — Traveller: 759mattf from Tripadvisor
Best holiday experience!
Based on Tripadvisor reviews (thank you previous reviewers!) we asked Xuan Tu to organize a day tour for our family which included Lady Buddha+ Linh ung Pagoda, a bicycle tour around the Kim Bong village, lunch at a local eatery, a walking tour around Hoi An old town and seafood dinner at the beach. We had an amazing day and gained a real appreciation of Vietnamese culture and traditions. Our lunch at Mr Son was excellent as was our dinner at An Bang beach – beautiful outlook and set right on the beach. The real highlight was our guide Xuan Tu who was not only extremely knowledgeable but has an engaging personality and friendly manner. Fantastic Tour with Xuan Tu
Whilst in Da Nang, my family booked a tour with Xuan Tu after reading some fantastic trip advisor reports about her tours. Unfortunately, come the day of the tour, my brother and I were ill and after struggling through the first hour of the tour, Xuan Tu kindly offered to post-pone the tour to the following day with us! The entire family was very grateful for this as Xuan Tu had to assign another tour guide to a tour she was supposed to take on the next day. Her commitment and flexibility in this situation was very commendable and we were all very impressed. We also enjoyed Xuan Tu’s bubbly and kind personality and her fantastic sense of humour! It was very easy to communicate with Xuan Tu as her English was outstanding, and her knowledge of Hoi An and Da Nang was also very impressive. Great tour guide! Worth every penny!
I contacted XuanTu (pronounced Song Tu) for a customised tour because of the reviews here, and certainly wasn’t disappointed! My girlfriend and I wanted to cover specific sights from Ling Ung Pagoda/Lady Buddha, Marble Mountain, and My Son and she managed to fit it all into one day along with a quick run to Han Market and an awesome banh xeo lunch in Da Nang. Her english is great, no worries on that front. Her knowledge of the areas, its history, the people, and how things were constructed made a huge difference; those places would be half as interesting should we have went by ourselves with only a driver. We certainly learnt a lot about local life in Danang and Vietnam in general and made a new friend! Lastly, the price may at first appear to be on the high side and be prohibitive for some, but having done the research and experiencing her service first hand, my opinion is that it’s a very fair rate.
