A family affair

Our family, consisting of 3 kids (17, 14 & 7), were lucky enough to have Lam as our private tour guide. Very informative, helped us cut long queues and found us street food surprises we never would have discovered ourselves. If you want to learn about Hoi An, learn the tips and tricks of locals and see the story behind the lanterns, you can’t go past Lam. He even ran back to the night markets to get another ice cream for our 7 year old before we could even suggest he didn’t bother! No wonder she held his hand and she won’t even hold her daddy’s! RECOMMENDATION – do this on your first night in Hoi An so you know where to go for the rest of your trip. Lam, I am so glad we have so many photos to remember our time together…thank you. — Traveller: Alex H from Tripadvisor

The highlight of our trip

We spent the day with Hai on the 50/50 tour and had the most amazing time and couldn’t have asked for a better introduction and education on the area for our first trip to Vietnam. Hai was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and with wonderful storytelling kept our 3 children (4,7,9) engaged through the day. We look forward to returning soon and having the opportunity to explore more!! Would recommend without hesitation! — Traveller: AbbeH9 from Tripadvisor

Amazing time with an awesome guide (Quan)

Quan took us to a wide variety of places with diverse activities, we cycled through rice fields, made our own rice paper and rice noodle, looked at some beautiful landscapes and of course… He always took us to have excellent food!! He knew that was one of our favourite activities, and he never rushed us through the activities. I think that was one of the best experience I had with tour guides, he will always give us our time to appreciate whatever we were doing. Note: He helped us bargain and got me a backpack for $100 USD less. — Traveller: Luis G from Tripadvisor

Great trip with Quan and Duy

We joined the cam-kim island and myson tour on day one and the second day the Hue tour. Our tour guides were Duy and Quan who were the nicest people I have met in Vietnam. They were very knowledgeable and friendly, we asked a lot of questions and they answered them very patiently. They have also told us about some interesting facts about the lifestyle and marriage of the young people in Vietnam which I found very different from my hometown (hong kong). The tours were really and the arrangement was very flexible that could accomodate our plan. I personally like Every bit of the tour. The only thing I would like to do more were we were hoping to see more of the fisherman’s life and tried the basket boat. On our way to Cam Kim island by bikes, we were little bit scared about the traffic in Hoi An (not very used to ride with motorbikes and car), Quan and Duy have been taking care of us and kept checking if the road was safe to go thru. Later on they offered to carry us on their bikes, although we decided to go there by ourselves, we were still very impressed by their kindness. The second day Quan continued to guide us to Hue, after we visited the Hue Imperial city and tomb, he took us to the local market. After we finished shopping, it was raining very heavily and the street got flooded. Quan stayed with us the whole time and took care of us even tho he got all wet himself. — Traveller: Hoi Yan F from Tripadvisor

Simply the best

My wife and I along with another couple traveled to Viet Nam a few weeks ago. Along the way we had many guides in many cities, and I can say that hands down, Xuan Tu was the best. Her mastery of the english language was outstanding (telling jokes that I couldn’t believe, followed by “just pulling your leg”). She was great in explaination of history and understanding our needs, i.e. time to shop. When we go back to Vietnam one of the reasons will be to see and be guided by Xuan Tu. — Traveller: Mike M from Tripadvisor
