Great 3 days in Da Nang
Had an enjoyable time the past 3 days being brought around Da Nang, Hue and Hoi An by our guide, Duy. Knowledgeable and well spoken, could not have asked for better. — Traveller: Timothy L from Tripadvisor
XuanTu’s Team is Fantastic
We just completed the 2nd day of a 3 day booking with XuanTu’s team. Duy took care of us both days. Yesterday we did the Danang city tour. My family were very happy we got to experience the local Con market and gad lunch at a very local place. Food was excellent and cost very little. We visited Marble mountain in the morning, followed by Con market, coffee at the oldest coffee house. Then after lunch to the lady buddha which offered a beautiful view of Danang beach. Got a recommendation from Duy on where to go for seafood dinner which turned out to be an excellent recommendation. Today we went on the Hoi An tour. Visit to Cam Kim island was beatiful. Local village, local life. We visited the mat making, rice paper making and boat building, which everyone else here who have done this tour have already described in detail. What reallt touched us was that this tour contributed to the livelihoods of these families we visited. XuanTu has a great social enterprise side to this tour guide business. Duy was agaib fantastic and took really good care of us, especially my daughter who was a little bit unwell. Lunch was great at the BanMe place recommended by none other than Anthony Bourdain. Walk around HoiAn old town was excellent; won’t write much here as others have described it all in detail. We greatly appreciate Duy and the 2 drivers (different ones for each day). XuanTu obviously has a great team going here. — Traveller: ReginaldSLin from Tripadvisor
Hoi An and Hue
We had a great moment with Lam (Hoi An) and Quan (Hue) for 2 separate full day tour. Hoi An tour: It is an interactive and full of experience tour. Apart from knowing the history of Hoi An Ancient Town, this tour includes interactive moments with local people in exploring their daily life. A hands-on of making rice paper/ noodles and compiling mats made this tour more fruitful and meaningful. Lam is energetic and passionate. He knows every hidden gems in Da Nang and Hoi An. He brought us to rooftop of a cafe and delicious Vietnam food in Hoi An, don’t miss the baguette for the supper! Hue tour: This tour likes a history lesson about Vietnam. The tombs, pagodas and Imperial City, plus the explanation from Quan gave me a comprehensive knowledge of Vietnam. Quan offered a boat ride for another option during the tour. He is well-knowledge in history of his country. He also gave suggestion on my dinner in Da Nang. The French restaurant is perfect. The weather was way too hot, but Lam and Quan made sure our comfort during the entire tour. They carried extra waters for us. Besides giving 5 stars to them, I would want to appreciate Xuan Tu, the owner, to postpone a little bit on the 2nd tour so we could have more rest. She gave swift responses to my request. And her concept of the tours is adorable as part of the tour fees will be sponsored to those locals in supporting and sustaining the Vietnam’s culture. Highly recommended! — Traveller: stevekaty from Tripadvisor
Hoi An with Lam
Hoi An is a beautiful town that boasts a rich history and delicious street food. But we’re glad that we saw another side of this city through the eyes of our local guide, Lam. We loved that this tour experience has so much heart and soul in it. It was more than just visiting the locals’ homes and watching them weave sleeping mats or make rice noodles. It was the opportunity to interact with them and to experience their warmth and kindness that touched our hearts. The local villagers also love children and were particularly kind to my 1-year old son. Xuan Tu Tours reminds me of a social enterprise, in which their business model sees a portion of their fee being donated to the homes of the villagers we visited. We learnt that the agency’s tour guides, such as Lam himself, take time to get to know the locals on Cam Kim Island and would work with households that struggle to make ends meet. Even when taking us to dinner, Lam picked out a highly-rated hawker, Mr. Son and his wife to serve us our delicious meal tonight. Turns out that they too have a sad story to share. So instead of taking us to shops where the guide would stand to gain from commissions, this agency is actually giving back to their local community. I say what they are doing is simply wonderful. We want to thank Lam too for being a fantastic guide. He’s a young and passionate man who is also very knowledgeable about the country’s history. Thank you for showing us where to find some of the tastiest street food in Hoi An and for being so attentive to our needs. We felt like we were being taken around town by a friend, rather than a guide. Keep up the good job! — Traveller: Francinettee from Tripadvisor
“Hoi An to Hue Private Tour”
We had a private car to visit the imperial tombs, palace complex of the Nguyen dynasty, and Thien Mu Pagoda. We also took a boat ride down the Perfume River. Quan is very professional and knowledgeable about the history of the tombs and other cultural sites. He was also very friendly, sharing “fun facts” along on the way. This tour is a must when you are in the Da Nang/Hoi An area. — Traveller: Anthony D from Tripadvisor
