Best decision ever – Excellent tour guides
We were a group of 7 friends travelling around Da Nang and decided to book some tours with Xuan Tu. She was very flexible and accomodating with multiple changes to dates and itineraries. (it wasn’t easy getting consensus for 7people!) We booked two private tours – Hoi An half day and Hue tour. The group was hesitant at first as we thought we could do the sights ourselves, but within minutes of getting into the nice, clean, modern van, we all knew we made the right decision. Lam and Tommy made us all feel at ease and laughs and jokes were started from the start of the trip and the friendliness continued throughout the day. The tour took us to places you wouldn’t otherwise know about, let alone visit. Tommy even serenaded us during lunch! They also made excellent recommendations on food, spas, shopping and many others! The trip with Anthony to Hue was excellent and informative. Anthony was more than accomodating when we asked if we could cut the trip a little bit shorter as we had a big day the day prior and hoped to be back in Da Nang by late afternoon. Anthony knew a lot of the historical significance of the sights and although you can visit these places on your own, you won’t even be able to scrape through the surface of all the history and information behind the statues, signs, monuments, etc. Having Anthony there put a new meaning to ‘taking in the sights’. Overall, I can’t recommend Xuan Tu and her team enough. Having private tours tailored to your interests and needs is the best way to go and these guys definitely provide all that and more! Thank you for making our trip a memorable one! We will be in touch in our next visit to Vietnam. Thanks team!! — Traveller: GailN from Tripadvisor
Absolutely everything we could wish for in Central Vietnam!
For our family, traveling and food are our passions. We’re fairly seasoned — my wife has visited 44 countries, I’ve been to 38 and our 2 year old has already experienced 7! We’ve done private tours and self-guided trips, we’ve stayed on an island with no running water or electricity and 5* and 6* resorts. Food is paramount to everything we do, and we plan all of our trips around food. We are constantly in search of local, authentic cuisine and prefer to eat with and amongst locals than in a restaurant full of other tourists. Having visited Central Vietnam on our own on a previous trip, we weren’t convinced we needed a private tour guide for a 1 week vacation in Da Nang, Hoi An and Hue. However, once we contacted Xuân Tú, her passion for her hometown and for being a tour guide was clear and we wanted to experience this destination with her as our guide. Since we confirmed our tours with Xuân Tú less than a week before arrival, and her schedule was fully booked except a single day, we regretfully only had the pleasure of doing a single day Da Nang tour with her. However, Xuân Tú assisted with everything for our entire trip from from airport pick up to drop off, including transport and tour guides from Da Nang –> Hoi An (via Cam Kim Island) –> Hue –> Da Nang. One of Xuân Tú’s primary drivers, Mr. Tu, transported us safely from Hoi An to Hue and back to Da Nang. Although limited with his English, he’s an extremely friendly and kind man. I felt my family was 100% safe with Mr. Tu behind the wheel… and he’s very patient and loves kids! Xuân Tú is extremely hospitable, friendly and proactive; we felt as if she was a good friend showing us around her town, not a tour guide we hired. Xuân Tú absolutely loves what she does and this is evident in all of her actions. Even though she was busy doing tours, she was quick to respond on email and whatsapp. When we were in Hoi An and Hue, she regularly checked in to ensure everything was going as planned. Xuân Tú proactively called hotels and restaurants on our behalf to make sure everything went smoothly. She’s a fellow foodie, and we loved all the local spots she took us to in Da Nang and recommended while we were in Hoi An and Hue! We genuinely felt this was the best tour we’ve experienced in any country we’ve visited, as it was so well organized, infused with so much heart-felt passion and combined great food and amazing company! We will definitely be back and fully endorse Xuân Tú and her company to anyone looking for a friend to show them around Central Vietnam! Thanks Xuân Tú for the memories and see you again soon! 🙂 Tour Services Booked With Xuân Tú 1. Transport to/from Da Nang airport 2. Private Da Nang Tour 3. Private Hoi An Tour 4. Private Hue Tour 5. Excellent private tours of My Son and Hue with Anthony
We booked this tour as we left Brisbane, Xuan Tu was very flexible and worked with our schedule to make it very easy for us. I was picked up at Da Nang Airport and went straight to My Son for our tour. Anthony was very knowledgable about My Son and was a pleasure to talk to. His English is very good. After our tour, we were dropped off at our hotel in Hoi An. Anthony also recommended us a few places to eat at night in Hoi An which made our food hunting much easier. He was spot on with all the recommendations. Our tour of Hue was also excellent. We were picked up again by Anthony at 8 to start our tour. Anthony once again told us about Vietnamese history and all the questions we have along the way. He also asked what we wanted to see and altered the tour to our preferences which was a big bonus. We had a lot of fun and learnt so much from Anthony. We highly recommended him and this company for anyone who wants to visit Da Nang, Hoi An and Hue area. — Traveller: Trungie from Tripadvisor
My Private Hue Tour Guide
Xuan Tu send her tour guide, Anthony to guide us on private tour to Hue Ancient City. Anthony was a young man but he is full of knowledge. The driver and his service extended to us was excellent. It was a extremely a hot day but Anthony tried his level best to make our tour as comfortable as possible. He recommended us a very good lunch almost like a royal meal at a little small private cosy ancient restaurant. Food was excellent. Will surely receommend to anyone planning to come to Hoi An. — Traveller: rubyong2 from Tripadvisor
Wonderful trips – excellent guides
Xuan Tu organised three personal tours for our family holiday. Our party was made up of nine people; me, my wife, two daughters, a son-in-law and four grandchildren – the age range being from 11 to 72. We went in July which is certainly a hot month for travelling – however, none of us found the heat troublesome during our visit. The tours were truly magnificent – we all felt we had really seen the real Vietnam both historic and modern. Our first trip was around Da Nang to see the Big Buddha and Marble Mountain and then on to the world heritage site of the temples of My Son. We really appreciated being taken to My Son in the relative cool of the afternoon and with very few tourists. Our second trip was to the riverside town of Hoi An – we went on a boat trip to an island and saw several families in their traditional environment. I was very impressed that we seemed to be so welcomed into their homes, again we saw very few other tourists which made us feel special. Our final trip was to the old Vietnamese capital of Hue, I don’t think any of us had realised prior to the visit the magnificence of the royal palaces and the dynastic tombs. For all of the trips we were picked up at our hotel in a minibus which was just for our family. We had a driver and one or two English speaking guides. There was an abundance of cold drinking water supplied and we were always taken to a restaurant for lunch – sometimes we also had a traditional Vietnamese mid-morning snack. The restaurants were always superb and very good value for money. In one they found out it was my grandson’s birthday and a cake was duly provided with the singing of ‘Happy Birthday’. The cost of the tours were each around $400 USD for all nine of us. This included all transportation, the guides, the water and all entries to museums, historic sites, etc. – a very reasonable price considering what was included. However, the real stars of the trips were the guides, Xuan Tu herself and Anthony. Their English was excellent – as was their knowledge of Vietnam both locally and generally. We all were continually asking trivial and in-depth questions which were all well answered. They stayed with us at all times and helped negotiate any purchases we wanted to make. They were also very flexible in changing the itinerary if we wanted to do something slight different, eg. in Hoi An we wanted to wander around a traditional covered market and this was duly organised for us at a moments notice. I think the main compliment I could give was that we felt that they became our family friends during our time together. — Traveller: ChrisCBlake from Tripadvisor
