Wonderful home stay experience and private tour of Da Nang, Hoi An and Hue
Myself and a group of 3 other friends recently visited Vietnam and were in the middle region for 3 days. We based ourselves in Da Nang and did day tours to Hue and Hoi An. After reading many positive reviews on TripAdvisor we decided to go with Xuan Tu Vietnam Tours and try the homestay accommodation rather than staying in a hotel. Overall it was an awesome experience which I would recommend without a doubt if you are after an authentic local taste of Vietnam. The accommodation was in a great location – within walking distance to a wide range of restaurants and the beach. The two rooms we had were spacious and overall fairly clean and tidy. Tu’s entire family were so friendly and always up for a chat. Her mum made us breakfast each morning – really delicious local food. Our private tour guide Tony was excellent. He was knowledgeable and clearly very passionate about his country. His English was also fantastic which made it very easy to understand his history and geography stories. Lunch wasn’t included for the tours which was just as well, since we went prepared with a list of things we wanted to try (bun bo hue, banh mi, bun rieu, banh xeo etc.), and Tony made really good recommendations for all of those. And the perks of a private tour? We were able to tailor the activities around our food adventures. Xuantu tours are a bit more expensive than other options available but you get what you pay for. It was incredibly hot during our visit and it was a relief that everytime we hopped back into the car, there were bottles of cold water waiting for us and wet towelettes to wipe down the sweat. Thank you for making our stay in the middle region of Vietnam so memorable! It was by far our favourite leg of the trip. An excellent culture tour in Hue
So glad to join this tour, we had a lots of fun and know much more about Vietnamese history and their little secret like why they draw the eyes with sharp color painting in the boat. Time arrangement is perfect, surely you can enjoy every single destination ! The day we visit is a sunny day, the car is very comfortable I even don’t want to go out! Amazing Tour Experience!
My sister and I had a wonderful tour experience with Da Nang Hoi An private tour guide company doing three tours Da Nang & My Son, Hoi An and Hue. Tony (Lap) was our tour guide and he was excellent, he had fluent English and was a great story teller, full of knowledge for each of the places we visited. He answered all our questions on local life and always had cold water and face towels handy. Could not be happier with the whole experience.
Traveled with elderly parents and could not be happier with 4 day trips covering hoi an, Da Nang city, Hue and My Son. Our guide Quan spoke fluent English was very knowledgeable. He also was kind and considerate enough to let my mother who has a bad leg to rest in between hence making the whole day trip and in tern making the trip to Central Vietnam Nam area very memorable one and a enjoyable one for us. Private Tours: Hue and Hoi An
Xuan Tu is a company comprised of knowledgeable, well-experienced local tour guides, namely Hai and Lam. You would definitely be in good hands if you choose Xuan Tu private touring. Our first expedition took place in the imperial city of Hue with Hai, who was very personable, friendly and passionate about his country. The tour exhibited by Hai provided us a new prism to look through Hue – a city we found to be rooted in rich, vibrant history. You will definitely get a new perspective and appreciation for the royal, dignified city of Hue. The Hue tour also consisted of several pit stops at scenic mountains, beaches and important historical sites that are engrained in the ostentatious fabric of Vietnam. Though, the food recommendation was truly the key highlight for us in this tour. We had an amazing, eclectic feast for a very reasonable price at a majestic venue, located outside of the forbidden city. Overall, the Hue private tour was a fruitful excursion, one that we found to be educational and eye opening. The second tour took place in the ancient city of Hoi An and its neighboring Cam Kim village, on a leisurely stroll with our tour guide Lam, who is also personable, friendly and mostly, accommodating to your needs. Within the village, the tour provided us an authentic snapshot of the islet’s landscape and also its local artisans, who still participate in centuries-old carpentry, rice paper making, and mat weaving that are passed down from generation to generation. This is a unique hands-on experience for those who are interested in immersing themselves in Vietnamese traditional crafts. When returning to the second phase of the 10-hours tour, back to Hoi An, we got to go on a customized food adventure that was highly anticipated. We snaked around the city’s diminutive alleys to try various hidden food gems that only the locals would know. In addition, we also tried a plethora of recommended food stalls and restaurants. The banh mi, chicken and rice, an spring rolls were exceptionally delicious. Hoi An is definitely a gastronomic culture. Our trip concluded with a nighttime array of brilliant, decorative lanterns and a memorable meal with Lam.
