Private Tours: Hue and Hoi An

Xuan Tu is a company comprised of knowledgeable, well-experienced local tour guides, namely Hai and Lam. You would definitely be in good hands if you choose Xuan Tu private touring. Our first expedition took place in the imperial city of Hue with Hai, who was very personable, friendly and passionate about his country. The tour exhibited by Hai provided us a new prism to look through Hue – a city we found to be rooted in rich, vibrant history. You will definitely get a new perspective and appreciation for the royal, dignified city of Hue. The Hue tour also consisted of several pit stops at scenic mountains, beaches and important historical sites that are engrained in the ostentatious fabric of Vietnam. Though, the food recommendation was truly the key highlight for us in this tour. We had an amazing, eclectic feast for a very reasonable price at a majestic venue, located outside of the forbidden city. Overall, the Hue private tour was a fruitful excursion, one that we found to be educational and eye opening. The second tour took place in the ancient city of Hoi An and its neighboring Cam Kim village, on a leisurely stroll with our tour guide Lam, who is also personable, friendly and mostly, accommodating to your needs. Within the village, the tour provided us an authentic snapshot of the islet’s landscape and also its local artisans, who still participate in centuries-old carpentry, rice paper making, and mat weaving that are passed down from generation to generation. This is a unique hands-on experience for those who are interested in immersing themselves in Vietnamese traditional crafts. When returning to the second phase of the 10-hours tour, back to Hoi An, we got to go on a customized food adventure that was highly anticipated. We snaked around the city’s diminutive alleys to try various hidden food gems that only the locals would know. In addition, we also tried a plethora of recommended food stalls and restaurants. The banh mi, chicken and rice, an spring rolls were exceptionally delicious. Hoi An is definitely a gastronomic culture. Our trip concluded with a nighttime array of brilliant, decorative lanterns and a memorable meal with Lam. It was a sight to be seen and could only be aptly described as “Ichi-go ichi-e”. — Traveller: hughthele from Tripadvisor

Denang and Hoi An day tour

My friend Gen and I did a full day tour of Denang and Hoi An. Our tour guide and driver were amazing. Tony was very helpful and attentive to all our needs. He had water and wet towels ready every time we got into the car. This was very much appreciated! Overall we really got to see the best of Denang and Hoi An. We were most impressed with his friendly and calm nature. We especially appreciated his food recommendations as we struggled to find good food alone. He was fantastic with everything we needed. It was a very enjoyable day. — Traveller: J_kazy from Tripadvisor

Best food and sightseeing tour with Lam

My partner and I are visiting Vietnam for the first time and decided that doing a sightseeing tour and food tour in one would be a great way to find our way around the old town in Hoi An as well as try some new foods we otherwise might not think to try. We booked online with Xuan Tu and were met in our hotel by guide Lam. We spent several hours trying local delicacies and some well known favourites. Likes and dislikes were taken into account and nothing was too difficult for Lam to organise. We tried around 15 different foods from market stalls, street vendors and restaurants. I would highly recommend this food and sightseeing tour for anyone visiting Hoi An. — Traveller: Yolanda P from Tripadvisor

First Vietnam trip

My first trip to Vietnam,Da Nang with a group of friends. We had a very enjoyable trip and an awesome tour guide, Duy . My first impression with Duy ,I was thinking , he looks so young .Does he had a good experience to be a guide ? But there is a proverb said :” Don’t judge a book by its cover “. Yes , he is knowledgeable, cheerful and wanting to learn more about another culture . We had three and half days tour around DaNang , Hue , Hoi An , My Son and Thanh Tam Dong . It’s really an eye opening experience and fruitful trip in Vietnam. It is very awesome and beautiful country . I will recommend my friends and family to visit here again.Thank you so much Duy and see you in Singapore . — Traveller: Ivy L from Tripadvisor

A taste of Vietnam! An experience to treasure.

We booked this tour of Denang and Hoi An because of the amazing reviews this business receives and we were SO glad we did. From the beginning right through to the end Lam made us feel like VIP’s! The service felt seamless and highly organised. Lam was very knowledgable & patient, especially with our children. His sense of humour and happy nature made us feel like we were friends from the start. He genuinely enjoys his job and obviously enjoys meeting travellers and sharing his passion for Vietnam with his customers. We experienced so many wonderful sights and tastes in a 10 hr period and yet we never felt rushed like in other tours we’ve done. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone. Thank you again Lam.
