Wonderful Foodie Tour with Thuy Luong
We thought it would be best to go with a local guide while in Vietnam, as we were coming off a cruise ship (Sapphire Princess) and time was short with only a one day stopover….we were so pleased to be met by Thuy Luong. She was waiting patiently in the hot sun holding a sign with my name so we knew exactly who she was. Thuy is the sweetest person you would ever meet. She asked us what we wanted to see or experience in Hoi An and designed the tour to meet our needs exactly….including last minute requests. When I noticed the arm protectors that she was wearing and mentioned that I liked them, she asked the driver to stop at a local vendor so that I could pick up a pair (and some masks), and she negotiated an excellent price in the local language. I couldn’t be happier. We were a group of 4, and we fit comfortably in a newish Toyota Fortuner (mid-sized SUV). With the driver and Thuy, we had lots of room for all 6 of us, plus a cooler of water to keep us hydrated. Thuy was very kind, polite and extremely well informed about her country. It felt like we were with a friend instead of a guide. The tour itself was a good mix of sites, food, and culture. The tour was well-paced, and she took extra care that we were safe from the traffic and unfamiliar locales. After a very long day, Thuy rode all the way back with us to our cruise ship port in Chan May. i don’t she got back to her home in Danang until close to midnight but she was so accommodating the entire time. Day tour from Hoi An to Hue
Excellent tour! Our guide Quan was very informative and made the day fun and interesting (guide in training Thu also did a great job). It was a long day (10+ hours) but filled with interesting sites. Hoi An afternoon and evening foodie and walking tour
We arrived at Chan May cruise port at 1 pm and were promptly met at dockside at 1:30 pm by our tour guide Thuy and her driver. We were immediately impressed with her excellent fluent English, her attentiveness and desire to show us her hometown. We had booked a 50/50 Tour of Da Nang & Hoi An with Duy & Thu as our tour guides. Both were fantastic and brought us to the many local spots which was Great!! 50/50 Da Nẵng and Hoi An Tour
Today we done the 50/50 Da Nẵng & Hoi An tour and we have the pleasure of having Duy & Thu as our tour guides! We had a brilliant day with the help of them both, they brought us to local markets, to all the main attractions and explained the history fantastically whilst also helping us out with any questions and information for the rest of our journey!
