Fabulous tour with Xuan Tu private tours. We wish we had more time with her.
We visited the central area of Vietnam as part of out cruise itinerary and sadly only had one day in the area. Research was completed and after reading Xuan Tu’s reviews we approached Xuan Tu to see what she could offer us. Xuan Tu was very very helpful in creating an itinerary for the day we had. She was brilliantly organised and made us very welcome. She is very proud of her country and her passion and energy really showed during our time with her. Our biggest regret is that we did not have more time to spend with her. Our day started when Xuan Tu and her driver met us at the port entrance and our first stop was over the high pass. The views were spectacular. Our visit to Lady Budda was made more memorable by the information Xuan Tu gave us during the visit. The green marble mountain is certainly one stop that no visitor should miss and gain Xuan Tu explained all about the place as we went. Xuan Tu choose a local restaurant and also helped us by ordering a fabulous selection of food for us in Hoi An. She checked the bill to make sure we were not overcharged. Hoi An is a beautiful village and is absolutely a must see. Fortunately development is restricted so this is the traditional Vietnam which we really wanted to see. We told Xuan Tu that we wanted some souvenirs and she was helpful to us finding the right stores who were selling the best products and ensured we paid the right price. We would not hesitate to book another tour with Xuan Tu and would love to have the time to go on one of her long tours across Vietnam. If you are going to this area of the world, contact Xuan Tu and contact her early. She will look after you and guide you through a fantastic day in a beautiful part of the world. Xuan Tu is great fun to be with but also a knowledgable, Intelligent, passionate and ambitious. Her English is humbling and her mother should be very proud of her!!! Until next time….. Excellent 2 day tour of Da Nang with Xuan Tu
A group of 10 of us went on this tour to Da Nang, Hoi An and My Son and our itinerary was for 2 whole days and this incuded local food tour. We visited as many of the places as we could, Lady Buddha, Monkey Mountain, Hoi An, Cam Kim Island and went as far to My Son. On top of these places, we had the best Banh Mi, Pancake, Pho, Seafood dinner and the best Vietnamese coffee that Xuan Tu brought us. At the seafood restaurant, Xuan Tu helped us pick the best seafood and she even checked the bill to ensure that we were not overcharged. Xuan Tu is very fun to be with and she really takes care of our needs and helped us bargain at the local stores and most remarkable is she does not take any commissions from the shops that we purchased goods. She is remarkable, very obliging, tremendously knowledgeable, sincere and all of us thoroughly enjoyed the whole tour and would highly recommend Xuan Tu without hesitation to any tourist who would like to visit Da Nang. Xuan Tu is knowledgeable and very passionate in her job. For a young lady who just turned 23, she has every good attitude who deserves to be rated the best tour guide in Trip Advisor. My friends and I (10 of us) enjoyed very much from the local food tour, sightseeing and shopping that Xuan Tu arranged for us. Thumbs up to Xuan Tu’s personality, she is honest of not collecting commission from the sellers, helped us to get the best reasonable price of the things that we bought, and even helped us to check the bill thoroughly before we paid for our seafood feast. Thank you Xuan Tu and your assistant Helen for making our Da Nang and Hoi An trip fun and memorable. Great Guide for Da Nang and Hoi An!
We recently spent 5 days in Da Nang and were fortunate to find Xuan Tu (Soong To) via her website. We are 2 Aussie couples in our 50’s wanting to explore the local area and experience the local culture and cuisine. We made 3 bookings, on day one was a half day tour of Da Nang. Xuan Tu was not personally available that day and arranged for one of her guides Anthony to escort us. We visited Marble Mountain, Lady Buddha and temples, great places to visit but the weather was not kind to us and we cut the tour short. Day two and Xuan Tu greeted us in our hotel lobby as arranged, and we embarked on a 12 hour tour of Hoi An. We quickly realised what a gem we had found in Xuan Tu ! She is a charming young lady with a vast knowledge of her countries history both modern and ancient. She speaks excellent english and has a great sense of humour which made us feel instantly comfortable. Based on info she sought from us in advance, she planned a great day for us.We arrived in Hoi An and boarded a small boat booked just for us, we ventured to Cam Kim Island. We visited a boat building business and a wood carving place. We then visited 2 local families. The first where the villages oldest lady, 95 years old and her family make rice paper and noodles. We felt most welcome and had morning tea with them consisting of a hot brewed local tea and freshly baked bread. The second family were mat makers. Both families were happy to welcome us and gave us an excellent insight into family life in Viet Nam.We ventured back to the mainland an spent the rest of the day doing a walking tour at our own pace of the fascinating Hoi An. Xuan Tu took us to Mr Son’s for a tasty lunch which was really cheap, about $15 AUD for 4 of us.We spent the rest of the afternoon exploring then had dinner at a famous baguette resturant which is a must. On the third day we booked the seafood night. Some of the food was rather adventurous for us but an excellent night. In short Xuan Tu delivered the perfect experience for us, made us laugh, and we thoroughly enjoyed her company and now consider her a friend. Fantastic guide, tour, experience
I stumbled across this tour site and guide Xuan Tu (Pronounced Song 2) when trying to find a way to spend a day in the Hoi An area. Unfortunately we only had 1 day to look around this part of Vietnam so naturally wanted to make the most of the time we had. When first contacting Xuan Tu I asked for an itinerary that would give us a full day including time in Hoi An. Xuan Tu came up with a plan that included visiting Lady Budy and Marble Mountain near Da Nang. I will say right now that in my opinion Marble Mountain is an absolute must see if you are visiting this area. The reviews read about Xuan Tu gave me comfort when booking her services as a guide for the day and she really was excellent. Knowledge of the locations visited, obvious passion about her country and her work and most importantly her ability to be able to communicate these 2 things made Xuan Tu a truly excellent host and guide. I would also add that Xuan Tu has a great sense of humour which allowed us all to connect with her brilliantly – We had loads of fun through out the day. So if you have a day or two in Vietnam and the Hoi An area and are looking for a guide to show you around, i don’t think you will find anyone better.
