We had a long weekend in Hoi An and were keen to see as much as we could. Xuan Tu came highly recommended and she rose to the challenge. We gave her an idea of what we wanted to see and do, and she delivered. The pick-up at DaNang airport and transfer to our hotel in Hoi An came at a very competitive price. The following day, we were picked up at our hotel and spent a half day visiting Da Nang and its environs with Lam and a driver. Lam was knowledgeable, courteous and spoke good English. Highlights of the first day included visits to Marble mountain with its fabulous collection of pagodas, mysterious caves and carved stones; trip to the beach to watch the catch being sold and cooked; a delicious lunch of street food (local noodles) and strolling through a market under Lam’s expert guidance. The best was yet to come the following day when Xuan Tu took us on a half-day walking tour of Hoi An, starting with lunch at Mr Son’s – another superb meal of Vietnamese street food. We went around the ancient city – the pass you purchase allows you to enter 5 venues and Xuan Tu’s choices were just the right ones. Her knowledge, delivered with a great sense of humour, made the tour most enjoyable. This young lady and her team will go far.
