Special thanks to Xuan Tú for acceding to our last min personalized tour request, despite running a full private tour schedule. Once we reached Da Nang, we were warmly welcomed by friendly Tommy Pan. We hit off well as if we already knew each other before. We enjoyed every bit of our half day Hoi An food tour, immersing ourselves in the unique culture of Hoi An city; we ate where the locals dined, made wishes at the river of water lanterns; bargained at the old quaint market.
Half day Da Nang city tour, on the other hand, was enriching and insightful. Visit to the mystical Marble Mountains and the scenic journey to the Lady Buddha is a must. Tommy even brought us to the oldest coffee house in Da Nang, Long caphe to try the famous drip Vietnamese coffee while having our first bite of the yummy Bahn mi (Vietnamese baguette).
The tour was nicely concluded with a scrumptious Mi Quang(frog legs noodle) before we headed to the airport for our flight home. Our 3D2N trip to Da Nang, albeit short, ended on a high note when our effervescent guide Tommy serenaded us with his rendition of ‘Cry on my shoulder’ song. Yes, Hello Vietnam, we will be back!
And to Xuan Tú, Tommy and the rest of the team, mot hi ba yooooo!!!
Cheers,
Anne & Jeff
