My partner and I spent the day Xuan Tu, her driver and Xinh My. We were picked up at the hotel where we visited an Eco Village and spent some time on the river baskets making jewellery out of bamboo leaves and we tried fishing too! We then went to the herb and vegetable village and met a beautiful water buffalo who is well looked after by the farmer.
We had lunch and Xuan Tu explained the local dishes, so we tried some amazing beef and lemongrass and other dishes too.
Later we went to the old town which was an array of different colours, truly beautiful. Then we went on a boat, lit some laterns, made a wish and released them in the river. Hoi An is as beautiful during the day as it is at night. We had a fabulous day and would never have learned as much as we did if we had not went with a tour guide. She and her team are so knowledgeable and are keen to learn other cultures too. I felt very safe and had such a great day, thank you so much!
