We had a wonderful guide (Lam) who was personable, funny and knowledgeable. In the morning, we started with egg coffee and coconut coffee at a very local coffee house in Da Nang, worked our way through the most delicious baguette sandwich (Banh Mi) for lunch, and ended the day with a banana sticky rice dessert in Hoi An. We love to eat and Lam quickly picked up on that and brought us to many places to try new things.
Lam also provided us with lots of info about the history, culture and people of Vietnam in an engaging way. We visited the Lady Buddha, Marble Mountain, and the ancient town in Hoi An and learned lots at each site.
Bonuses:
– Lam is an amazing photographer!
– Having a private car and driver made the day so easy and efficient. Our driver, Thuyet, was courteous and very safe and our car was clean and comfortable (with A/C and bottled water).
