We were fortunate to have a different experience of Hoi An, visiting a local village on an island opposite hoi an where we got to participate in making traditional rice cakes and helped to weave sleeping mats with the friendly villagers. Such a lovely change from the usual touristy spots though we did get to see Marble mountains of Danang and Hoi An old town as well. What made these tours different was the careful detailed explanation by our guide Quan of the cultural significance and history behind each monument and ancient house. Xuan Tu was very responsive and helping in organising our 2 full day tours and Quan with our drivers took very good care of my 97 yr old granny and us!
