We had a great experience with XuanTu Vietnam Tours. We linked up with Xuan Tu prior to our visit on the recommendation of our friend whose wedding we were planning to attending in Da Nang. Over 3 – 4 days we experienced everything from a day-long bus tour with a large group (friends and family of the Bride and Groom) to a personalised tour and private cooking class. I think we met everyone who is part of this small, family-oriented local business 🙂 ! All our experiences were great and we really appreciated the flexible approach shown by the guides. On the large group tour day, Hai was flexible and accommodating to the needs of the varied group (we had small children right through to elderly adults in the group) he was attentive and responsive to our needs whilst ensuring that we all still got to see some great sights and have a wonderful day. On another day, he was also most helpful in assisting my partner locate a pharmacy and obtain medications for a virus he had contracted whilst on holiday. Translating the symptoms so the pharmacist could make a correct assessment. These are the kinds of things that can be so difficult to navigate when in another country without access to the language…Thankyou Hai!
Thanks also to Hai and Quan for sharing their knowledge on the various sights we visited including Marble Mountain and My Son Sanctuary. Quan’s clearly has a passion for archaeology!
The cooking class with Mrs Mai (mother of Xuan-Tu who manages the company) was a highlight. Such a generous and warm spirit.
And let’s not forget the calm presence of the young man who drove the car (can’t remember his name) but his driving skills were excellent and we felt safe at all times even during peak hour traffic!
Overall, our experience with this group ensured that we gained a fuller and more immersive experience of Vietnamese Culture and the Da Nang/Hoi-An area (and made some lovely new friends to boot!)
