Had a great time today touring Da Nang city with our guides James and Lam! A big thanks to Xuân Tú for a quick reply to my email as well as making our last minute request a reality. James and Lam were great, enthusiastic and full of local knowledge. We could have easily taken a taxi to some of the locations that we visited, but looking at the sights without learning about them would have been a waste of time. I now have much better knowledge of. It only the Da Nang city, but about the Buddhist religion in Vietnam, the countries history, the local culture and so much more. We also drank the local coffee, learned how to say Cheers over a nice drink, and sampled many local foods. All of these things can be challenging in Vietnam because I don’t speak or read the local language. If you are concerned about the cost, or think you want to see the sights without a tour, think twice… it was money well spent.
