We visit the Central Market to see how local people shop every day for foods, picked fresh for market the same day.
We try local delicacies under the lights and lanterns of evening Hoi An for dinner!
And we marvel at the kaleidoscope of beautiful lights, lanterns from the river, and drop wishing candles into the river before escorting you safely to your hotel at about 20.00
Day 2: Ba Na Hill Resort + The Golden Bridge + Cable Car Private Tour (Flexible meeting time – approx. 16.00 or even later)
If you don’t mind waking up early, we suggest starting your visit to Ba Na Hills at 7:30 AM to avoid the crowds.
Ba Na Hills is ‘the’ central Vietnam attraction that many want to visit. It includes the Ba Na Hills Resort itself, its cable car experience plus the now-famous Golden Bridge. Please note that entry to the Resort by cable car must be paid-for to view the bridge – it is not a stand-alone attraction.
Established in 1919, Ba Na is a hill resort inherited from the French. ‘Sun World Ba Na Hills’ is located in the Truong Son mountain range 36km west of the city of Da Nang centre and 65km from Hoi An. It is 1487m (4890ft) above sea level and offers refreshingly cool weather and stunning views in good weather. This is your opportunity to escape Da Nang city or Hoi An town for an exciting day in Ba Na Hills with our Private Guide to ensure you maximise your time. With a hotel pick-up included, remember to bring comfy walking shoes and maybe an extra layer of clothes, when 36° in Da Nang it can be 15° on the mountain!
Reached by one of the world’s longest cable car systems travelling over spectacular jungle and waterfalls, Ba Na is becoming ‘the’ popular attraction of Central Vietnam. You will discover a replica French provincial town, a funicular railway and exciting downhill alpine luge. There are formal gardens (now with the already famous ‘Golden Bridge’ towering above the Thien Thai garden), often singers & dancers perform. Mountain tracks lead to waterfalls and viewing points. Near the mountaintop is Linh Ung Pagoda built 2004 with a giant 24m-high white, seated Buddha – visible for miles around! There are many free facilities for children of all ages.
Day 3: Hai Van Mountain Pass, Lang Co Lagoon & Da Nang Private Hidden Gem (09.00 – approx. 17.00 or even later)
This is my popular Da Nang’ highlights’ tour. We sightsee Da Nang centre via our beautiful bridges to give you an introduction about my hometown and visit our Con Market with 2000+ individual stalls where our local people shop daily. You have the opportunity to enjoy delicious central Vietnamese food at one of Da Nang’s many local eateries.
Then, following My Khe beach with its international hotels and used by US forces as an R&R location (and voted as one of the world ‘top-10’ beaches by Forbes Magazine), we drive to one of our most sacred places of worship. The 18th century Ling Ung pagoda is located high up on Son Tra peninsular with its spectacular 67m tall ‘Lady Buddha’ looking over the East Sea to Cham Islands, Da Nang city, its beaches and beyond. You also have the opportunity to enjoy delicious central Vietnamese food at one of Da Nang local eatery.
Then we drive to the breathtaking Hai Van Mountain Pass, one of the most scenic and picturesque routes in Vietnam. As you ascend the mountain, you’ll enjoy stunning views of the coastline and the surrounding mountains. Once you reach the top, you’ll have a chance to take in the panoramic views and snap some photos.
Next, you’ll head to the Lang Co Lagoon, a picturesque body of water that is renowned for its crystal-clear blue-green waters and charming fishing villages. Here, you’ll witness the traditional way of life as you observe how people grow oysters and learn about their fascinating culture and history.
Throughout the tour, you’ll have a knowledgeable and experienced guide who will provide you with a wealth of information about the local culture and history, as well as the customs and traditions of the people who live in the area. Your guide will be happy to answer any questions you may have and help make your trip as memorable as possible.
