Private tour from cruise port
We organised this tour as a result of a recommendation from our tour operator in Ho Chi Minh City and found it to be cost effective and a comprehensive day out. Our allocated guide was Tommy (Hai) who had great English and a full knowledge of Da Nang and Hoi An. We started our day with traditional tea andcoffee. Tommy showed us significant religious sites in Da Nang ang gave us a brief history of Budism and the life of Buddha . We then drove on to Hoi An where Tommy guided us on a walking tour of the od city and included visits into ancient shop houses and the famous Japanese Bridge. Our day ended back in DaNang at the very impressive Lady Buddha Statue overlooking the city and then a short trip back to the harbour to rebooted our ship. It is a long walk from the ship to the gates of the harbour but there is a shuttle available if you look for it. A great day. Must book tour in Da Nang
My family had a wonderful tour of Hoi An with Xuan Tu as our tour guide. She brought as to the not so typical rural village experience for the first half of the day trip, and to old town in Hoi An for the second part. My family enjoyed the rural village experience, especially the kids. They got to see traditional wood carving, rice cake and straw mat making. I was impressed with Xuan Tu sincerest to show us her country and also kindness to help improve the life of the villagers (she pays them for the visit). Hoi An old town is beautiful, but I found the place too touristy. It was packed when we visited, but still a good experience with the very knowledgeable Xuan Tu sharing the history of the place. We booked a Da nang city tour the next day, but my daughter fell sick and Xuan Tu is very accommodating to our request to postpone the tour. In the end, we decided not to go for the tour as my daughter was still having a fever and was advised that it might rain heavily on the day of our tour. Very glad that there was no pressure for us to press on with the tour. Glad that I booked the tour with Xuan Tu tour agency. She is knowledgeable, attentive and accommodating to our needs. Excellent Da Nang Trip
